I'm back?

Sooo, my little hiatus turned into a really long one. Sorry? I just found the link for this board again buried on my Facebook profile and happily saw that it is still very much in use. I don't know how many of you still use it, but I'm in if you guys are. I'm working through re-acquainting myself with all of the characters and the story lines I was a part of when I left, so it might be some time before I actually start posting. Unless someone would like to help me with cliff-notes versions... You guys have created so many cool characters and stories while I was gone. It might take me a while to catch up on everything, but at least I can get caught up on the stuff I was involved in before I disappeared.

I also want to apologize to anyone who ever might have had any questions about the vampire board and saw I hadn't logged in since 2009... I am SO sorry... I'm kind of surprised I'm still listed as a Mod, to be honest.

Though, I can say that I am actually pretty appalled with all of my old spelling/grammar mistakes in my old posts (even my character sheets). And I was in college at the time. I should have been learning something useful about the English language, not butchering it.

Hey, Hi!

Its been a while but glad to see you. As for who is still active on this board, it is just Michelle and myself, as you can probably see from the posts. It keeps us from being completely bored. Its been kinda slow lately. She's a stay at home mom now and I'm unemployed bum living with my mother since she decided to drag me across the country to Wisconsin (long story). What free time I have is usually spent being brain dead or trying to come back down from whatever emotion breakdown I've recently had. If you want to, jump on in again and feel free to ask any questions. I'd love to dust off some old characters and introduce you to the new ones. A lot of the stuff we've come up with in the past few years isn't written down anywhere. Or characters that exist with no write up.

As for the vampires and you still listed as the mod - we're lazy women. We did tweak them a little, kinda making them a little different since we weren't sure if you were coming back. I think all we did was change their name (Mutari), give them a creation backstory and change the names of the bloodlines. And I think the only character thing was with your Talbot. We wanted to play with Lia and Cian but considering some of the things we do, we could probably work him back in.

I saw the Mutari stuff as I was wandering around the board. I wasn't sure if it was in addition to my vamps or a mod to them. Either way they looked fun! I also noticed some verbiage changes with the Angels and Custoss (Curantis & Custos?) Its been fun to read through all of the changes. Everything feels a bit more fleshed out that it used to be. I'll probably be altering/updating characters. My friends had gotten me into D&D, specifically because they knew I used to enjoy online RP boards like this, so I've learned a LOT about building and tweaking characters for long-term interactive RP that I didn't before. Plus, I forgot that I had actually posted Ebelle and Kato (because I didn't play them much) and I took the character sheets I had laying around for them and altered them for a D&D game... so I'm actually much too used to playing them that way, so those will be probably have to be spliced together.

I am also an unemployed bum right now, so that leaves plenty of time to catch up on the changes and make alterations of my own. I have been under threat of being moved from PA to Florida since my job loss, but luckily I'm still clinging to my apartment for dear life with what little money I still have saved up (praise be to income tax returns).

I will be doing a lot of reading through the boards, so you and Michelle can expect to see me logged in a lot. I miss RPing with you guys, and I had forgotten just how many damned characters I had going before I stopped.

So, hi! This is an awesome surprise! Sarah had to alert me to your return because like she said, its just the two of us and I'm pretty sure we both rarely check in unless we actually tell the other person they have posts waiting lol.

Sarah is right, there are many things that are sorta just in our heads at this point so if at any time you're confused, please just ask us so we can figure out what we need to clarify or write up. As for her comment on us posting here as keeping us from being totally bored, I think its more accurate to say it keeps us from going totally insane... Real adult life sucks sometimes.

Anyway, I'm glad you found us again and it will be nice to get caught up with each other again.

Okay, yeah, its as much to keep us from being really bored as it is to keep us sane. The last couple of years have been really crazy and this is great space to just get away from all that. Adulting is hard. Adulting is really hard when you sometimes have to parent your parent.

As for the change from Angel/Custos to Alati, Custos and Curantis, well, I guess I felt that the terms Angel and Custos were to limited to the Christian religions when we were bringing in Deities from all different religions. And really, after doing that, we were able to open it up and we started to create a culture and society from that.

I also did away with the levels of hell and heaven. And we were able to create the God Tools, which explains why characters like Darius are important. Triads (plenty of those running around, two or three foursomes, and I'm not even sure how the NOLA crew works anymore), backstories for various other races, the great mythical cities, reincarnation and the idea of soul mates and even created a enemy of sorts in the Godless.

I really do need to write this all up.

I look forward to seeing what changes you make. We are always changing something as characters evolve. As you can see, we have a lot and even more without profiles. I even have a massive timeline and genealogy in order to keep everyone straight and when things happened.

Also, I mostly post things from my phone these days so, expect spelling errors or just a random word tossed in.

I'm only updating characters right now. Tobin was the first update, since he was the oldest. He didn't even have the right character sheet layout, so it must have been before we decided on one... Anyway, he's the only update for now, but I decided to start with families, then work through the rest of that type (Alti, Were, etc.). I want to get all of my characters squared away and refreshed in my mind again. I'll probably going to get antsy part-way through that and start poking at you guys for a plot though, so just a heads up.

Since I've been reading through old story-lines I was a part of a few characters have been poking at me. Mostly the DeLuge family again, the twins (Jahaziel & Ezekiel), and I want to play with the vampires again...

Updating bios is a good place to start. I need to do that and I don't even have your excuse of being gone for years lol. I'm just too easily distracted by other things, which hasn't really changed at all. It makes sense that you'd be starting with Tobin and working from there. Feel free to talk at me when you get around to the twins, and then Talbot, Aeven and Lia are a little giddy at your return =). If you're still on FB, thats the easiest way to chat about things, its how Sarah and I have been managing all these years. If not, we can figure something out I'm sure =).

I have added to the Alati information. Hopefully I did a good job of explaining things. I'm also working on a all inclusive list of characters in order to know who is who, who is open for play, who is with who and who is, well, adoptable. I've looked over the lists I already have and there's a couple where I'm going, WTF, who the heck is that and why are they important.

If anyone wants to view it, I can either post it here on the board, add the document to my Google drive or e-mail it once its done. I'm also planning on updating the timeline.

Now, to get dressed and start prepping my office for paint.

PS: if anyone wants to smut I write with these characters, just let me know. I think I have a small amount of non-smut as well. I get bored. It's good writing practice.

Ooo, okay. A lot of fun stuff. Michelle, I am still on Facebook. I am basically attached to my phone and connected to some sort of media, so I can be reached just about anywhere with plot ideas. Once I get the DeLuge family updated I'm pretty sure the twins are next. I didn't have very many Alati characters... But now that there is a creation/background story I can tie my ancient boys to somewhere ancient. It'll be more fun .

I might need some sort of character list at some point. We might want to make a large one with all of ours added in. I'm good with a lot of characters, but I know you guys added a lot. Also, I get fuzzy with some of the extended families that aren't directly related to my characters... It might take me a while to catch up, otherwise.

I didn't realize Talbot was slipped in the middle of my DeLuge boys, so as of now Tobin, Rhystic, and Talbot are updated - I didn't want to skip him and then forget about him later. Talbot had the most major changes, actually. I had forgotten that after I had made him, I had decided that Foster was his son... so I had to alter his history/occupation a little so it fit better with Foster's... I should be able to get to the twins tomorrow (Later today?? God what time is it??) since Caspian and Kuraku shouldn't too large of an overhaul on their profiles and Hawk and Tempest should be pretty moderate.

I have to go back and re-figure everyone's close friends and things like that. I have it listed on some characters, but not others, so now I'm confusing myself going back and forth between profiles. I'm just going to take notes and edit that stuff in later though.

Ooo, updated Talbot and Rhystic. Very nice. Dream, Dion and Salut are all perking up, by the way. Cian...Cian is never far away. And I take it back, there were two characters with relationships to your characters that we tweaked a little. First was the thing with Cian/Talbot/Lia. I think both Michelle and myself are in agreement that if Talbot wants, he can come play with Cian, Lia and Ruri, if he doesn't mind living in Japan, that is. You can find them in the Something New thread.

The other one was Aeven but she is mostly reversible as we never got around to throwing Colby (demi-god, son of Eris, no profile) at her. Does Jahaziel mind demi-god devil twins?

Its looking good. Makes me cringe to look at all my outdated profiles. Right, add that to the list after finding employment, painting office space, updating character lists and timelines, locating those three damned list of character names for my Magda, Mutari Originals, and Haven Hunters groups.

Okay, sent you a friend request on FB! Not sure why we weren't friends anymore, only thing I can think of is that I did "spring cleaning" on my friend list a few years back and cleared out the people I hadn't talked to in a long time... Anyway, just thought I'd warn you =)

Also, Lia is very excited about the newly updated Talbot! Things have indeed shifted while he was away, but it won't be hard for him to slip into the new dynamic at all. Ruri is nice, and won't bite (much! lol). If Talbot wants to see something funny, he should ask Cian just who Ruri's mom is, and how many of that woman's daughter's he's managed to knock up, and wait for the panic to set in hehe.

Yeah, Talbot definitely needed a scrubbing up. I know I wanted to make his running into Foster super awkward, but I didn't want it to be "both students at the same university" awkward, so... I figured I should have given him a last name, too. Especially since he would have needed one to function in the human world for all the centuries he was gallivanting around. And Tale never minds moving. He can pick up and head off to anywhere. Hell, he's already lived just about everywhere and speaks about a dozen languages. Plus he's an Incubus, so he's always up for playing with new people .

I think I disappeared right as Rhystic and Dream were just becoming able to truly tolerate one another enough contemplate flirting, lol. And that was after they were already married. Poor things.

Jahaziel is up for a LOT of things. He may be initially leery about Demi-Gods, given the updated back story I'm going to set up for my twins, but if Aeven is there he'll follow. And Ezekiel will cluck along behind like a mother hen, so... haha. I need to figure out what to do with Aurelius. And I should probably just bite the bullet and figure out names for all of his damn siblings...

Ha, The start of the current character list has been completed. The characters whose first name starts with A have been posted.

The ones I don't have on there are Aimi, Ambrosia, Amy, Andrew, and Anton. If anyone comes across these names in a profile or thread, please let me know so I can figure out who these damned people are.

EDIT: Completed the "B" Character list. Have added Bran and Brie to the unknown list.

I just finished updating Hawk, Tempest, Kuraku, and Caspian. The twins are next on the list, but they are going to take a lot of brain power and notes and I am brain dead after this gaggle of characters . I made relatively minor updates to all of them, but Hawk probably got the most visual update. Just tweaked his appearance a bit. And since he already had an image link (that wasn't working anymore) I replaced it with a better one...

After the twins get updated I might take a break on the updating and start wanting to post things. All of these characters are rattling around in my brain now and they won't shut up.

**EDIT** I have also been giving character surnames that did not previously have them, so I may just pop those into your master character list as I see them for my characters. I did see Ambresk on there, and I picked a surname for her as part of Tobin's update. I'll get to that when I actually get to HER update, though...

Hmmm, Charis is not pleased about violence being done in Haven. She's not saying it doesn't happen, just that she is not pleased. Then again, at that time, she was still quite unstable, irrational and unpredictable so its probably a good thing she didn't know.

I'm liking the updates and please add any changes to the master list that you see. There's over four hundred names on the excel list I'm working off of and that doesn't include all of Ivan's family and a few other expanded groups. My eyes cross after working on it for a while. And I've probably driven Michelle up the wall with all my questions about her characters. If someone doesn't have an explicity stated birth year in their profile, I've been using the year 2006 to determine birth years.

Haven was just the easiest sub for Hell in my profile clean-ups, to be honest. Until I get a better feel for what Alati cities are up and running and what the command structure is like now, Haven is basically just going to be my place holder... I don't even know where I want to plant the DeLuge estate permanently yet.

I am severely impressed with the fact that you are able to put that much info together for that many characters... Just updating and trying to organize the characters I have NOW is making my eyes cross and my head hurt.

PS - I've been reading through all of the threads I can find with Lia, Cian, and Ruri. Talbot now wants to play... a lot. I have an idea or two for why he disappeared, so now he's wiggling to get back in it.

Go ahead and keep them in Haven. Going by Caspian and Kuraku's ages and when I think the events took place, the only Alati city that would be in operation would be Haven. Most are lost and Atlantis/Avalon really don't show up in the timeline until sometime around 2046. I'm sure that crime and violence occurs in Haven and, unless it threatens the stability of Haven, Charis turns a blind eye and allows others to handle it.

As for where you want to stash the DeLuge estate; it's pretty much wide open to wherever you want to stash it. Getting rid of the idea of circles of heaven and hell really opened things up. Marrus and the DeLuges are pretty important, so they can probably have a country and a continent if you wanted. I think the only countries that have been claimed are France and Italy. Darius is happily running amuck as the European Overlord while Charis runs Antarctica. That leaves five continents for the Deluges to claim and hundreds of countries.

Also, thank you. Really, it's a combination of a expansive family tree for the deLormes (and I swear I have one for the Kokinos Clan (Faith's family) stashed somewhere), a couple of versions of timelines and a 23 inch monitor (most of the time)that allows me to have multiple windows visible at once.

I've been waiting for Michelle to post a reply on the Ruri/Cian/Lia thread (among others) but maybe if there's two of us poking at her, there will be some movement.

Okay, cool. My brain doesn't have that much to over think about then when it comes to the Alati cities, then. Since I put so many Asian themes in the DeLuge family (all the katana weaponry, all the interest in martial arts, Kuraku, Rhy being part asian, etc) I might end up plopping their estate in Asia/Japan.

Oh! I also finished updating the twins, and I was reading threads with them, Aeven, Salut, and others earlier. Now I understand what you meant about demi-god devil twins, lol. Jahaziel is always on board for kids - no matter their heritage. Especially if he can teach them to drive his brother crazy.

Which thread in particular are you trying to get her to reply in? I'm trying to make sure I read them all... I found quite a few.
