Aubrey held onto the phone a little longer, though it was no longer by his ear. He had an odd little smile on his face, not even knowing he was doing. "Jade Bonnaire.." He spoke it out loud, make a mental note never to forget it. The angry beeping of the phone reminded him that Jade had already hung up, and he promptly hung up the phone.
It had dawned on him only moments later that Jade had asked him to set up a reservation for Greek for the next Thursday, and outright smiled. He was glad she was expecting, or at least hoping, to have a second date and immediately dialed the number of his favorite greek restaurant, making reservations for the two of them.
He couldn't manage to really hide his excitement and put up a calm facade, so he shuffled off to his office and started to organize things for the beginning of his new business. He ended up in one fo the spare rooms picking through artwork only a few moments later, finding that more enjoyable, and still had that odd little smile on his face.

Jade snickered as she pushed past the crowd in the waiting room of her sister's resturant. She listened to the crys of unhappy people and told the hostess that she was expecting someone else. After she was seated at a choice table, Jade ordered a drink and waited.
She'd gone through the questions her children had about this guy their mother was going out with. Normally, she'd be found at the house on a thursday night, flipping through inchs think manuscripts but she'd dolled herself up tonight. A touch of makeup and a skirt that wasn't stained by coffee.
When Aubrey sat down opposite her, she grinned and leaned forward, elbow resting against the table. "How nice to see you again."

((ooc: I couldn't help it...I was updating Aubrey's profile and decided to look back on the old posts, lol.))
When Aubrey got to the restaurant he immediately noticed the crowd waiting for tables. He was quite relieved that Jade's sister worked there, and had gotten them reservations, because he certainly wouldn't have been able to with how popular the place seemed to be. He moved past the crowd, which protested loudly, and walked up to the hostess, informing her that he was meeting Jade Bonnaire. That seemed to get a quick response and he was shown to the table that had been reserved for them.
He had mentioned to Jacob that he'd gotten a date. The man had heckled him, in a friendly way, about it, but had also passed the information onto Talbot. And old Custos friend of his, that was just a bit older than him. Talbot had no problem finding partners, so the man couldn't help giving Aubrey advice, though he was sure he could manage on his own. He had chosen to dress a littel casual in black slacks and a dark blue button up shirt.
He noticed Jade already seated at the table and he took the chair opposite her, smiling at her greeting. He leaned forward a bit as he sat. "It is certainly nice to see you again. How have you been since we last saw each other?"

Jade smiled up at Aubrey, hands idly playing with her napkin. "And it's good to see you again. As for what I've been doing, ripping apart manuscripts, making some authors cry, which really was quite an embarassing scene. Yelling at my children and so on."
Jade perked up. "And, I will have you know, that I haven't spilled any coffee since the last time we saw each other. I find this to be a big improvement." She knew that she was babbling but she couldn't seem to stop herself.
"So, what have you been up to and...Oh, lord, here comes my sister. Probably to take our order herself and then report back to my family about who you are, what you are, and what you look like. Brace yourself." Jade smiled up at her younger sister. "Astra, what can I do for you and no, we are not ready to order yet."
Astra smirked at her sister and glanced at the man sitting next to her. Quite the lovely looking vampire. Jade seemed to have a thing for the fanged, bloodsucking type. "Just flag down one of the waitresses when you are ready, sister dearest, and i will come take your order."

Aubrey chuckled as he imagined authors in tears with Jade standing by them. It would have been a sight he'd like to have seen. He smiled when she proclaimed that she hadn't spilled coffee since their meeting at the coffee shop. "Well, that is quite an improvement. I, however, managed to spill coffee all over myself at home since then."
When Jade switched from asking what he's been up to, to warning him about the approach of her sister he began to feel a little tense. He wasn't used to dealing with families, especially not on the first date, but he would just be gentlemanly as always and hope she would have something good to gossip about him.
He smiled and nodded in greeting to the woman, Astra, as she walkede up. Jade had immediately fended off any questioning for now, but it seemed that she'd be back for her interrogation later by the tone in Astra's voice. "So far that wasn't so bad, though, we should probably figure out what to order so we're prepared when she returns."
