Quinn glanced around the meeting room, looking for Stella. The moment they'd entered, she'd bounced off to go greet her friends, getting lost in the crush of the crowd. Sniffing her out was pretty much a waste of time; the overwhelming smell of leopard smothered the smell of Cheetah.
Instead of searching for his sister, Quinn snagged a drink and he leaned against the wall. He didn't mind these gatherings but Stretch wanted to run. Quinn circled his shoulders against the wall and started edging towards the exit. He wanted out. Once he was in the entryway, Quinn, drink in hand, skittered out into the night air.
He leaned against that wall and contemplated how early he could drag Stella away. He'd driven that night and he knew his sister wouldn't take public transit. He wanted to run and he wanted that cheetah from earlier in the week. Kato. Quinn glanced around the exterior of the building and grinned. This was his lucky day. Kato was just down the way. He sidled on over. "Well, hello there."

Nemesis was making her go to the Pard meeting and Sanura wasn't pleased. Sure she'd agreed to go but now she was having second thoughts. She was familiar with all the leopards that had adopted her, but suddenly being confronted with four cheetahs was a bit intimidating. Especially since those Cheetah's were born the way they were and she wasn't...
She could smell all four of them distinctly outside the house so she knew that she was the last of the cheetahs to arrive. Finally, she forced herself to walk up to the front door and let herself in. On meeting nights that's just the way it worked. Everybody came to the Pard leaders' home and just walked on in.
She had just shut the door behind her when somebody was shoving a soda in her hand and whispering in her ear, "You actually came when the other cheetahs were coming?" Sanura looked over her shoulder and saw a guy a little older than her smiling at her. His name was Kiyo and his half japanese looks were nearly as exotic as her egyptian ones. Out of all the leopards in the pard, she felt a bit more at home with Kiyo and his 4 sisters. Still, comfortable with him or not Sanura's nerves were on edge and she grumbled at him, "Shut it Kiyo," before turning her attention back to the mass of felines before her.
Only feeling slightly put off by Sanura's attitude, Kiyo just dropped back from her a little bit and let her wander the crowd aimlessly. He watched as she was greeted by a few other Pard members, three of his sisters among them. His only sister not present was his oldest and that was because she was busy dealing with her growing family.
Finally, Sanura's eyes landed on a familiar form and she walked determinedly toward it. When she reached the other woman, Sanura tapped her lightly on the shoulder and greeted her quietly, "Hi Stella." That's all she could muster as she faced down the other older cheetah. How was it she was confident and sure around the leopards but having a cheetah near freaked her out rediculously?

Stella whirled around, cheese stick in her mouth and a drink in one hand. She quickly bit down on the cheese and swallowed. "Hiya Sanura," she said waving the cheese stick at the other feline. "I didn't know you came to these things."
She peered around the girl, grinning when she spoted the male standing a few feet back from her, looking involved yet out of the way. "And you didn't come alone." she waved to the male with the cheese stick. She leaned in close to Sanura. "Who is the hunk? Is he yours?" she asked.

Sanura was not ready for the bubbliness that was Stella when the other whirled around. The greeting was perfectly friendly but even still it took her off-guard. "I-I don't normally," she answered after a slightly awkward silence.
Before she could continue to stutter and stumble, Kiyo stepped up next to poor Sanura and he held out his hand to Stella. "I'm Kiyo, and though I've tried to persuade her otherwise, no I am not Sanura's." He smirked at the gasp from Sanura and he squeezed her shoulder with his other hand.
She knew her face was beet red and there was no way she could look at Kiyo so instead she just shrugged, embarrassed.

Stella giggled, she couldn't help it. She finished off the cheese stick in small, dainty bites. She glanced around, looking for her brother. When she saw that Quinn had vanished from the meeting room, she shrugged and turned back to Kiyo and Sanura. "How'd you meet Sanura. I sold her a cactus. Is the Cactus still alive?" She looked between the two. The man was interesting looking and, considering that Quinn wasn't around, she wanted to get to know him. She wanted to get to know Sanura but she wasn't interested in women.
Stella grabbed a hanfull of cheese sticks, hooked an arm around the two's waists and steered them away from the food table. "Come on, Kiyo, Sanura. Sanura, you must tell me all about Kiyo. Kiyo, you must tell me all about Sanura." She manuvered the two into a quiet corner, leaned against the wall, stuck a cheese stick in her mouth and waited for one of them to talk.

Stella asking Sanura about the cactus she'd bought was probably the fastest way to calm Sanura's nerves. Something so mundane, and not related to a relationship with Kiyo was the perfect topic to give her a chance to regain her composure. "The cactus actually has new growth on it. Unlike regular plants, cacti seem to like me." Without realizing she was doing it, a small smile had crept onto Sanura's face as she talked about the prickly succulent.
She had barely had a chance to answer, when Stella directed both she and Kiyo to a corner of the room by hooking an arm around each of their waists. Sanura forced herself not to stiffen but couldn't suppress a grimace as she was informed that she was essentially going to have all her business spilled by Kiyo and that she had to tell all she knew about him. Honestly, she didn't really know anything too personal so she quickly gave in to Stella's prodding and hoped that Kiyo would follow suit.
"Kiyo here is full Pard. Half Japanese and half Irish. He is one of way too many children for me to remember and the oldest boy. I think he's... umm.. 23?" Here she looked at Kiyo for confirmation. At his nod and smile she continued, "He's a shameless flirt so be careful or he'll get to you without you noticing until he's got you purring."
Kiyo, happy to see Sanura playing Stella's game quickly interrupted her when she got to the part about him being a flirt, "She's right but the flirting for the most part is unintentional. Of course, once I get a girl purring I never have any regrets." Here, he smiled wickedly and watched poor Sanura blush. He knew what memory she had floating through her mind right at that moment.
"She's blushing because the first time I met her, I was a bit intoxicated and so was she. Lets just say she was one of the girl's I've untintentionally made purr. Literally." The smack he got on the arm was totally worth it and he continued. "She is an only child, she's Egyptian and her name means kitten in Egytian I believe. I'm pretty sure she's of legal drinking age since I met her while she was tipsy."
"I'm 21, Kiyo, you met me on my birthday," Sanura interjected for both Kiyo and Stella's information.
With a nod and a smile, Kiyo concluded, "And she's rather secretive so I don't know much else and what I do know it isn't my place to say." After that, he stole one of Stella's cheese-sticks and munched on it happily. Once he'd finished it he said matter of factly to Stella, "Your turn."
