Pack: Teesside Howl
Age: 24
Gender: female

Appearance: Kate is rather athletic with just a little bit of left over ‘baby fat‘ making her 5‘8 frame look rather soft and curvy. She has dark auburn hair that she keeps trimmed to just past her shoulders, its normally worn loose. Her warm, deep brown eyes are very expressive, ever emotion can be read in them. A professional photographer, Kate is almost always found in one of her favorite pairs of jeans, various trainers (she has a thing for shoes), and whatever shirt is comfortable dependant on the weather.
Beast or Ethereal form: Same deep brown eyes as her human form, her fur is mostly dark brown with some black and reddish tints to it. She’s average size for a female.
Personality: As warm as her eyes would lead people to believe. She’s very mothering and affectionate. Loves physical contact with those she is close to and when relaxing can often be found draped over or leaning against one of her friends.
Beast disposition: 5 or 6. Typically very balanced, only swaying closer to the beast when she’s stressed over deadlines or other not so pleasant things.
Infected at age: 19
Contagion: Kate was bitten by Christine (her Pack’s Alpha female) after an accidental meeting between the two.
History: Kate had only been at University for 2 months when her life changed. Her night started out innocently enough, she was just out for a walk around campus when she saw a stray dog trot past her. The dog had the most interesting colors she'd ever seen and so she started to follow it.
She thought she'd lost it when she turned a corner and she saw it in a small clump of bushes and it was shaking and grunting. Worried it might be sick and might attack her Kate kept her distance, watching it carefully. Then, there before her eyes, the dog's body started to twist and change. She could see the hair receding into the skin, the tail disappeared and before she knew what had happened there was a naked woman standing in the bushes.
Kate didn't know whether to run or scream or just walk right on up and say hello. In truth she was shaken so badly she just stood there staring. The poor woman was the first to make a noise, as she turned around to look and see if there were any people nearby that might spy her getting dressed, she saw Kate standing there and had to stifle a scream.
After that the woman hurriedly got dressed, grabbed Kate by the wrist, and ran inside. Kate was still too shocked to protest being dragged around by an obviously not human woman. She just followed where she was led, a confused look on her face. Only when they entered one of the lecture halls she took a class in did Kate start to come out of her shock. Seeing her professor, Kate gave a huge sigh of relief. The woman had unknowingly led her to one of the people that Kate thought might actually be able to handle things.
Again, Kate's world was thrown for a loop when the woman dropped her wrist, locked the lecture hall door, and then ran to professor who held her gently as the woman told him in detail about what had just happened outside.
Kate was about to turn and run, seeing her professor nod calmly and understandingly to the woman had really set her off, when he approached her and with a gentle hand on her shoulder led her to one of the nearby seats. Once Kate was seated he explained to her what she'd seen outside.
By the end of his telling, Kate's mouth was hanging open in astonishment but there was no longer any spark of fear in her eyes. Instead it was replaced by curiosity and she had a million questions to ask him. He was very open and answered nearly everything she asked him. It was nearly two hours later when the trio finally left the lecture hall, Kate talking softly with the woman, who she now knew went by Christine.
After that first night, Kate spent quite a bit of time with Christine and the other members of her Pack. A great deal of that time was spent with Mikahil as he explained to her what her options were for continuing with her life now that she knew about the Wolven. He told her that she could either stay human but stay close to the Pack, so they could keep an eye on her both for their own benefit and hers, or she could join them as a Wolven.
After many talks with both Christine and Mikhail, Kate decided to take her second option. As a Wolven herself, she wouldn't have to worry about other's coming after her for her knowledge. After her decision was made, the next was just how to make her Wolven.
Apparently Christine felt rather responsible for getting Kate 'thrown' into the whole situation in the first place and so she offered to do it. Being bitten was the only part of the whole thing that Kate was leery about but Christine was quick, just biting her wrist deep enough to draw enough blood to be sure infection had occured.
After being bitten it was only a matter of weeks before Kate's first Change. She'd jumped willingly and excitedly into the Wolven life and while at first, while she was still adjusting, it slowed her down a bit, she did eventually graduate from the photography program at the University and is now an active member of Teeside Howl as well as a professional photographer.
