Character name: Andrew
Genome: True (though he doesn’t know there’s a difference)
Beast name: Shadow Stalker
Faction: Wolven
Moon Phase/Abilities: New Moon/Stealth
Pack: Four Aces (soon to be Packless)
Age: 21
Gender: male
Sexuality: hetero
Appearance: At 6’3, Andrew is tall and wiry and a lot stronger than he looks. His hair is worn long on top (falls down to his ears) and shorter on the bottom and is a dirty blond, looking nearly brown except in the sun where his blonder highlights are more obvious. His muddy brown eyes are nothing flashy but they have been known to make a few girls go soft all the same, they’re very gentle. A dark denim jacket, cargo pants, t-shirts and work boots is what you will find him in day in and day out. He’s never really had a special occasion to get dressed up for since he’s been with the Four Aces.
Beast form: Like his human body, he's big and wiry. He doesn't have much bulk on him at all but that misleads others as to his actual strength. He's a reddish brown with lighter cream and black mixed in at random.
Personality: Andrew is rather quiet and withdrawn around people he doesn't know and other members of his Pack, the Four Aces. Around his friends, for the most part unsuspecting humans, he can be loud and boisterous and just plain goofy.
Beast disposition: 5 - Being on his Alpha’s bad side, for some unknown reason, Andrew has learned to avoid confrontation at all costs, Shadow Stalker too has become nonconfrontational to avoid his vicious Alpha’s wrath. The result is that the man and wolf are in perfect balance, both submissive to avoid any harsh consequences.
Infected at age: 12 (first Change at 14)
Contagion: blood transfusion after a bad car accident
History: Childhood was going great for Andrew until a foggy evening when he was twelve years old. His parents had just picked him up from basketball practice and they were on their way out to dinner. It was only 7pm but it was winter time so already it was dark. The fog made things hard to see but Andrew's dad was always careful. Unfortunately, even Andrew's dad being careful wouldn't save his family from what happened next.
A drunk driver had forgotten to turn their lights on and they were swerving all over the road. They had already missed a few other cars, causing the cops to be called, and just as a cop car pulled up behind the drunk driver and flipped on his lights, the drunk driver panicked and let go of the steering wheel, the car swerved right into the driver side of the car Andrew and his family were in. Andrew's dad was only going about 40mph but the other driver was going more around 60mph. The front end of the other driver's car had slammed right into the front driver side door, killing Andrew's dad almost instantly. He and his mother however survived.
After a week of being unconscious, Andrew woke up in the hospital hooked up to all manner of beeping and dripping machines. His mother was in the next bed over, still unconscious.
As time went on, and his mother didn't wake up, Andrew learned from the nurses just what had been done to him. Apparently both of his legs had been broken and his left arm too and during the surgeries he had had to fix them he had lost a lot of blood and had to get transfusions. At 12 Andrew didn't really understand what that meant but all he was worried about was his mother waking up.
Andrew was in the hospital for 4 months after the accident. First to let his legs heal and then to get physical therapy to get his muscles in his legs back in working order. That whole time his mother never woke up. He watched each day for any sign that she would and there never was any.
Finally the day came when Child Services came to take Andrew out of the hospital and place him with a foster home until such a time as his mother either woke up or died. He was sent to New York City to a reasonably well off family. They had a good apartment and another son just a year older than him. The two boys bonded quickly and the day that Andrew got the news his mother had finally died, his foster brother asked him if he wanted to be adopted. It was both a happy day and a sad day for Andrew but he said yes and as soon as all the legal things were taken care of Andrew had a new family.
Again things were going well for Andrew, he'd been with his new family for almost a year and a half, when things went horribly horribly wrong. He and his brother were out late, coming home from the movies when Andrew started to feel all hot and itchy. He didn't tell his brother this but just started to slow down. When his brother finally noticed, Andrew yelled at him to just go away. Of course his brother wouldn't leave him when something was obviously wrong with him and so when the Change took Andrew and he started screaming with the pain of it, his brother came in closer to see what was wrong.
When Andrew woke, he was laying in an alley and he had a strange metallic taste in his mouth and a little bit of blood still on his chin. All he really remembered was lunging at his brother one minute and then running away the next. Scared of what he may have done, Andrew never went home. At 14 he took to wandering the streets of New York. It wasn't long before other Wolven found him and, since then Andrew has been raised by his Pack, the Four Aces, as they wandered. He never finished school but he is really quite smart.
When the Four Aces finally returned to New York, and they stayed for a while, Andrew started hanging out with a group of humans, all about 19 or 20 with the exception of a few of the guy's younger siblings and their siblings' friends. Jezza was one of the younger members of the group he hung out with and they quickly became friends. He didn't think they were anything more than friends so when she came on to him one night Andrew was more than a little surprised. When she explained to him the next morning why she had wanted to sleep with him, Andrew was rather hurt but he took it in stride. He knew she was having troubles at home and if he could help her escape them even for one night he was more than willing.
When Andrew started noticing the symptoms of the Change in Jezza a few weeks after they'd slept together he had panicked. He watched her closely and when she seemed really close he'd taken her away. The last thing he wanted was for her to be around her family and possibly hurt somebody like he was certain he'd done to his brother. He would have stayed with her through the change but the night he dropped taken her to the mountains, he'd gotten a rather strange phone call from Jake saying something about his brother joining Four Aces.
When Andrew finally returned to find Jezza it was too late for him to help her, she'd already Changed. He and the other members of the Four Aces who had come with him when he told them about her, followed her scent and before long she was crashing through the underbrush to get at them. Andrew knew she'd likely be mad at him for leaving her but the hatred he saw take over her when she saw him, he was totally unprepared for.
Against his better judgment and against his wolf's will, Andrew let Jezza attack him without fighting back. He earned a broken nose for his actions and Jezza never once spoke to him after that. Only the arrival of his brother, who he'd long thought dead, to the Four Aces kept Andrew from falling into a sulk. Rather than brood on the issue with Jezza, Andrew got reacquainted with his brother Jonathan.
