Character name: Li
Genome: Virus
Beast name: Wing
Faction: South China Tiger
Moon Phase/Abilities: Full/Warrior
Pack: N/A
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Hetero
Appearance: Li stands about 5’9” with a lean build. He doesn’t really have a muscular or meek build, but one of someone who tends to roam outdoors a lot. His black/blue hair falls to the jaw line in a shaggy manner and his dark brown almost black eyes offset his whole look giving him an almost Custosic look. Not one to stand out, he is normally seen in a long sleeved gray undershirt with a gray-blue t-shirt over top of it. Finding it more comfortable and to complete his look, he wears black jeans with dark (mostly black colored) sneakers.
Beast form: Despite his darker colored human form, Wing is bright and flashy with vivid colors of Orange, short broad black stripes, and crème underbelly. His eyes are also a vivid color much different for one being a tiger; they are instead of an average brown they change to a cobalt blue, giving Wing an almost human-esk quality in this form. Measuring 9 ft long from nose to tip of tail, and weighing less than 400 pounds, he is a big kitty.
Personality: Li tends to be a loner, not very outgoing and chooses to blend in with the crowd. However if a new opportunity arises to go out and challenge the norm, he is all for it. Loner he might be, but given the chance to prove himself to be different, nothing is held back. Not to mention a slight temper that Li as had, it tends to get him in trouble because he says what he thinks.
Beast disposition: Wing is floating somewhere between a 4 to a 6, either a little more than under control, or begging at Li to be let out. Li’s temper also plays a factor in Wing’s disposition, whenever Wing is not kept in check due to temper. Wing’s reaction is temperamental as well.
Infected at age: 22
Contagion: A girl in one of the bar’s he went to, a one night stand and well *poof* he’s a were-tiger.
History: Moving to Guangzhou from a little village on the coast of Southern China was a big move for a 7 year old. He had spent all this younger years living quietly with his family and all of the close village friends, so moving to the largest city in Southern China was huge. Overwhelmed with all the technology and development, Li began his obsession with video games and other various electronic games.
He didn’t really have an active social life growing up, he tended to hide in this room, reading books and tearing apart and putting back together things. Slowly he began to master all the wiring and small technology and in school excelled in computer, shop, and tech classes, which easily gave him a step up into the world of electronics. I his senior year, he received a grant that allowed him to pursue his passion in college; he was only 17 when he graduated and passed right to college the next semester.
Again, like his childhood, he hid away in his dorm and studied all he could delving deep into anything he could about gaming systems. All through college he never really went out, until the tale end of his senior year. His friends, or room mates, coerced him out to a local bar away from his books and spare parts to experience life. Awed by the whole scene, he soon left behind the spare parts and headed out practically every night.
Managing to get by in college just fine, he found himself a job at a repair shop, a starting job, soon to be working somewhere else. Still going out every night, he ended up meeting a girl, one who absolutely captivated him. Her looks, personality, everything and she returned his advances. Later in the evening they ended up back at her place, one thing led to another, and a fun evening came to pass.
Leaving the girl’s apartment the next morning he felt as if he might have had a hangover, but it was odd that it didn’t fade through the day or go away by the next day at all. In fact the throbbing in his head had gotten worse and his whole body ached. He tried everything he knew to stop the pain, medicine, tea, exercise, but nothing helped. Having the overwhelming urge to take a walk outside, he couldn’t deny it and followed through.
Finding his way in the dark to the back side of Guangzhou, he collapsed on the ground in an abandoned alley. Laying flat on his back staring up at the full moon, he began to feel as if he was going to rip into two. Every muscle and bone was moving and Li tried to keep his screams in check, he really didn’t need for anyone to see him like this. The next thing he knew was that it was morning as he was now in Guangzhou’s main park. Not remembering how he got there and why exactly his clothes were barely hanging on him, he managed to find his way home.
Over the next few months, a realization took place; this always seemed to happen when he lost control of his emotions. Concerned he began to subtly ask anyone else if they felt the same way when they got upset, all saying no, he figured there could only be on more person to ask, the girl from the bar. The next month or so he spent almost every night looking for her, all he really remembered about her was she liked bars and her first name, and that didn’t get him very far. Very frustrated and upset after each failure, Li began to black out only remembering that he couldn’t find her and then it was morning.
Soon all the word around was there was some beast roaming the streets, doing all sorts of damage, and each time the trail led authorities closer to Li. Feeling pressure, Li decided that it was time for a major change, he packed up and left moving to America, a place he can start all over again.
All of this happened 2 years ago, and in what time has passed he has come more comfortable with his alter ego, or his other half. Having 2 years to perfect the transition between Li and Wing has been a long road, but now they both have an understanding. Wing still comes out when the urge overwhelms, but mostly the two have a happy balance.
