Character Name: Hawk DeLuge
Age/Birthday: 20

Alati

Faction: Custos/Curantis – Custos Dominant
Ethereal Form
Custos – Hawk’s hair becomes a true black and his eyes become a deep crimson. His skin tone does not change. He gains large, black, scaled wings. In the right light each scale appears to be edged with an iridescent aqua blue.
Curantis – Hawk rarely uses this form, but when he does he seem to look more like he belongs to his father. His hair lightens to a golden brown and both his skin and eyes pale considerably. His white feathered wings are also tipped in pale aqua to match his eyes.
Appearance
Hair Color: Natural black
Hair Style: Undercut on the back and sides, but about 5-6” long on the top – usually hastily styled.

Most of them are stylized plants, animals, and various symbols of earth/things relating to Gaea. All of this other tattoos also happen to circle a blended design of the DeLuge and Delorme family crests on his right shoulder blade.
Piercings: None
Scars: None
Personality
Hawk is usually very quiet and aloof, generally choosing to ignore most everything around him unless he feels compelled to blatantly eavesdrop. He is naturally suspicious of those around him, including his family, but he at least gives them the benefit of the doubt. He tends to have extreme trust issues with strangers. Due to his loyalty to Gaea he has a natural dislike of humans, who he believes spoil and ruin the earth, but it will probably never reach the level of hatred his uncle Rhy has shown towards Angels. Hawk is a vegetarian, but mostly due to the horrible things he has seen done to nature’s creatures through his job. He does bother peaching about, though. And he also doesn’t appreciate it when others preach at him about his smoking. He’s courteous enough not to do it inside, at least.

History
Hawk is the youngest of a set of triplets and the third out of four children total. Hawk was an open and happy child until he reached the age of four. His mother, Dion, left shortly after his younger sister Rayne turned two. At that point in his life he was a “momma’s boy,” so he was deeply hurt by his mother’s disappearance. At first he was upset, scared that he had done something wrong to make her go away, then he had been viciously angry. Without his mother around to direct that anger at, he focused it on his father. At first blaming Tobin for his mother leaving, and then blaming him for not looking hard enough for her.
His siblings were never once on the bad side of his anger or tantrums. They may not have always gotten along, but he silently and secretly vowed not to leave them like their mother had. He would always stick up for and side with a sibling, even if they were being scolded for legitimately doing something wrong.
As Hawk grew older he found solace in the beauty of nature, and as he approached his teenage years he looked for a deity to serve that would help nurture this fascination. He found such a deity in Gaea, but feared she wouldn't take him. He could feel his Custos heritage becoming more and more dominant, even at a young age, and he knew it was because of his inability to let go of the anger and grief he felt towards his parents and their respective actions. Gaea took him in anyway and showed him how to funnel that anger and grief into something useful. Hawk was chosen to help Gaea keep nature, and all of its creatures, balanced.
Dion returned home when Hawk was 12. He just started training with Gaea, so it helped to funnel is new-found anger at having her walk back into his life. Hawk held his grudge against his mother for some time longer, but by his mid-teens he couldn’t take it any longer. He needed to know why she had gone. She had tried so speak with him plenty of times before, but this time he finally allowed it. He had already been sword training and training in martial arts with Gaea. Swordplay was something he and Dion had in common, so they let it be the bridge that allowed them to start over. Hawk was finally able to acknowledge that he understood why she had to leave, and that she came back because she loved and missed them all. He slowly allowed himself to forgive her and his father.
His inner rebellious teenager never quite forgot he was a mamma’s boy. He huffs and puffs and grumbles under his breath, but he’s more likely to do something around the house if its Dion that asked him to do it.
