Character name: Bryanna MacBraden
(For Custos/Angels)
Deity: Mother Nature
Faction: Nature/ fertility
Age: 17th C- present
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance: In human form, Bryanna is a tall, willowy woman with white gold hair tumbling down in long tresses to her waist. A busty figure she is wholesome in a girl next door way. Unusually blue eyes for a supposedly human woman, they are soft and crystal clear, like glassy waters. Clothing wise she is a girl of many dresses and shoes, from summery flowery cotton dresses and skirts to earthy, velvet evening gowns and with the legs to pull them all off, there’s not a man near the garden centre complaining .
Beast or Ethereal form: (Were or Custos/Angel) In her angelic form Bryanna is not much different, except for the noticeable wings attached to her shoulder blades and a smaller pair, located just beneath them on her back. However, they are not normal wings. As an angel of Mother Nature she is gifted with insectile-draconic wings which are a clear signature of Mother Nature’s work. (see attached link images.deviantart.com/i/f/0/0/soulfire.jpg)
Personality: Being Scottish in heritage and nature, Bryanna has a strong brogue and is strangely serene for a Scottish lassie. However when provoked she has an extremely sharp and vengeful temper, with the powers of nature at her fingertips, she is a formidable force and a nasty enemy to make. A king and generous person, though, Bryanna will do anything for a loyal friend, this trait has earned her the friendships of many human women and some men too. A lass of the earth, Bryanna prefers to spend her time on Earth among the human realm than in Mother Nature’s domain, where everything is so crystal perfect, there’s no room for evolution or variation.
History: Bryanna was born to a wealthy clan in Scotland during the 17th Century (I’ll need to check all this out as I’m writing this on the fly). The MacBraden family were the leading clan of a small patch of land among the valleys and lochs in the heart of Scotland. The youngest of four children, Bryanna grew up protected by her three older brothers and well-liked father. She had a mother who doted on her and everything was perfect as it could be. Her father began to find suitors for her among the villages and neighbouring clan strongholds and her life couldn’t be much better for a Scottish lassie coming into womanhood.
However, that was until the Tuatha de Dannan came out of nowhere. At a time when myths and legends were truth, the Tuatha de came from nowhere, chasing their enemy across earthly soil. Unfortunately , humans were caught up in the heavenly battle. Bryanna returned with her convoy of soldiers to find her castle in ruins, her family slaughtered and her clansmen depleted. She was now Laird of the MacBraden clan.
It was on her 21st birthday that the goddess of women everywhere appeared to her with a proposition. Gods and Goddesses were preparing for battle and armies were to be assembled. Pantheons of heavenly bodies were making alliances and Mother Nature was no exception. Her job was to bring life to the earth after the cleansing. The deal was, she would find a suitor, bear a male child to him, fake her own death and join the ranks of Mother Natures guardians in exchange for the lives of the Tuatha de that had lain waste to her people. She took it gladly and barely 3 years after the birth of her firstborn child, Bryanna MacBraden fell from the battlements of her own castle, leaving a bereaved husband and his son to continue governing the MacBraden clan.
But Bryanna didn’t see the riots as her clansmen revolted against a Laird not of their own blood. Her husband was killed in his sleep and the boy, barely 3 years of age was fostered around the castle, a surviving cousin of Bryanna’s taking the place of Laird in the boys place. Her son never became Laird of the MacBradens.
Living among Mother Natures gardens, Bryanna began raining her affiliation to nature, the healing, the fertility, the growth, trying to find her forte. When her wings grew she spent many nights in a delirious fever, as the other angels had. Her hand maiden and a few nature warriors were by her side when she past from her human life into her divine life. Mother Nature banned all of her warriors from ever seeing their family again, to them, they were dead so it was by word of mouth Bryanna received the aweful news of her clans dissent into clan war. Her heart heavy, she returned to her studies and as time passed, so did the ages. The Tuatha de Danna were sent back to their realms by the Pagan gods and their armies, the great standing stones acting as gateways to hundreds of realms. They were all closed and the blue fire that was the Earth’s blood was used to seal every one of the stone circles in the hopes of preventing the Tuatha de from returning.
Bryanna was among the warriors chosen to grow the trees and vines over the graves of those from the human realm who had served in the battles. Covering up the Tuatha de’s existence was their job and they were the sole guardians of the weapons of power, so that they may never fall into Tuatha de hands again. The cup, the crown and the sword.
Ages turned and Bryanna finds herself in the modern period of the year 2006. Her job done centuries ago she returned to earth, moving from country to country, hiding her age and race. She finds herself working for a garden centre in the heat of American heat. Using her powers to help the plants flourish, she brings business to the centre and the managers overlook a rare, sad smile here and there, just aslong as her bright smiles attract customers to their flourishing plants.
