Character name: Tala Whitson
Powers: elemental
Allegiance: evil
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Sexuality: either, which ever she wants she gets
Appearance: Relatively short standing at 5’3 ½” with a petite build and very pretty. Don’t let the size fool you though she tends to pack a whollop in her punches, even though it doesn’t show. She has long medium brown hair that has soft waves almost as the sea on a breezy day. Her eyes are very light green almost gray colors, depending in what light you see her in. With a narrow jaw to her face, it almost makes her look like her lips are pursed at all times, but Tala doesn’t mind it only gives her appearance the more ominous look that she wants. Found normally in dark blue jeans and a blood red top (whether it is a t-shirt or sweater it doesn’t matter) and a decent black (trench) coat over all of this. Pulling her long hair back only once in a while to a pony of some sort, it is normally down flowing all about her, adding to her mysteriousness.
Personality: Tala is very cold to new people, not one to have friends, but more as puppets. Though she might not be as charismatic as she might want to be, she still manages to convince simple minded people to do her bidding. Only when she senses that her prey isn’t open or simple minded she turns away to find another. Not usually one to start a fight, but normally one to finish it. It usually helps having most of the elements in these cases at her disposal. When placed in these confrontations, she isn’t one to hide her powers, displaying them for all to see whether they be human, immortal, were, or otherwise.
History: Tala, from what the adoption agency told her, her parents were good magic users and from early on they knew she was evil. The orphanage explained from what little they knew about her parents that in Tala’s youth, her parents were healers with elemental magic. Try as her parents may, Tala would only use her powers to destroy, only not in a playful sort of way.
Growing up in an orphanage wasn’t easy, especially when all the new parents wanted a good nice little child. She was taken home a few times to a new family when she reached the age of five. But quickly returned only weeks after adoption, each one explaining that there was something wrong with her. One family even went on to say that their house pet (who sensed the evil in Tala) went off barking for hours until the next morning was found burned out in the lawn.
Rumors flew about the orphanage and Tala was left there to grow under the idiotic care of the “headmaster”. She was schooled by only what was inside the walls of the building, relating only to 50 year old math books and at least 70 year old history books. No one took the time in the place to teach these children. Most of them hardly stayed for longer than a month, with the one exception, so there was no use.
Tala grew regardless of the conditions she was raised in, growing only more angry and cold to the world around her. Quite a few things ended up burned, shattered, and smashed in her teen years, and everyone began to avoid Tala, adding to her isolation. Many times she had attempted to run away, but only to be caught or brought back with the aid of some spell or charm. So there she sat, stuck in this orphanage until the day she reached the legal age of 18 when she was free from her hell.
The last remaining years of her teens passed as if it was a century, and Tala’s metaphorical emotional pot was boiling over. Upon the hour of her birthday, she fled only taking the clothes on her back and a few meager sacks of food. Only this time, no charms or spells could hold her or make her come back.
Following the road and her feelings, she wound up in New York City and easily pulled the strings of a few simple minded fools. She seduced and pulled the strings to maneuver her way into a 32 year old mans life, he was recently divorced and wiling to play the game with a younger woman. Tala only lived with this man for 4 months, and in those months she managed to dry his whole account, and take whatever else he was wiling to give, his life even. Yes, Tala had murdered him making it look like an electrical fire, while he left (in his will only a month earlier) everything to his new fiancé, Tala.
Leaving, with blood on her hands and money in her pocket, she was pleased with herself. Not only was it easy to take what she wanted but it was also easy to kill for it too. Making her way across the country, Tala found it was easier to get everything without getting attached, because if there are no strings who would think it was her. Each time, making it look like some sort of accident, she became more and more angry, getting everything she wanted wasn’t feeding her rage.
It wasn’t until her 20th birthday did she stop her killing spree and return to her cold bitchy self. She already had enough money, a great car, and a nice place all with her blood money so she calmed down.
Tala though not quite happy is more or less content with her life currently. It’s only every once in a while does she feel the urge to hunt another down. Until then she has set herself up with enough money to attend college.
Receiving her GED only a few months ago, she now attends the local university as a freshmen, a 21 year old freshmen at a place where most are 19 when they are in her shoes. Refusing to live on campus with those who she struggles not to slaughter on a daily basis, she lives in nice her 2 bdrm apt up on “Snob Hill”, an odd place for a college freshmen to live. Beginning her major in multimedia art, she still managed to worm her way into the Dean’s life. Receiving enough “extra credit”, to boost her to a very high sophomore.
