Finally the day was just about over for Jamila, no one had came into the Tea House today and there were only her regular 2 people in the yoga class this evening. Although it was normally her favorite time of day where she got to unwind, today's session was less than helpful. She couldn't quite pin point what the issue was so she decided that it was 'just one of those days'.
Standing up from her mat at the head of the room, she made her way towards the door blowing out her candles on the way there. Just reaching the wooden beaded curtain she parted the beads to see Ari in the hall worried. Ari wasn't a nervous person she knew from all the times she was in Jamila's class. Wrapping her hair in a loose knot she confronted Ari about her problem.
-------------------------------------------
Jamila pulled into the University's faculty parking area and gaped at the campus. Ari said it was rather large, but she said nothing of this stature. Exiting her car she got into her trunk and dragged out her yoga mats and calming music. She was to fill in for Ari while she had to go back east and deal with a family issue. Ari was so worried the night Jamila asked her what was wrong. Her response surprised Jamila because she let loose all sorts of details about her life and feelings that Jamila didn't necessarily need to hear. The look in Ari's eyes when she asked Jamila to fill in while she was away was enough to break anyone.
However, now that she was here at the campus anxiety crept into Jamila's insides. She was going to be working with a much more full class than her norm, not to mention the total different age range.
Making her way across one of the many patches of grass, now a giant mud pit, she found the fitness building and followed Ari's instructions to find the classroom. Thankfully it wasn't too hard to find or too different from her own room. A wide room with lots of windows to let in as much natural light as possible. Along the walls various shelves held many candles of various size and color. The walls where stark white instead of the neutral color she was used to, but it could be dealt with. The head of the room was just a wall of mirrors, or just one big one to put it plainly. And just by the door, there was a rack that held all the mats in a nice order and a little table holding a stereo to add ambiance to the session.
Setting her things down under one of the closer windows, she went and changed into her normal yoga attire, creme running pants and a off white tank that held all of her. Tying her hair into her its normal yoga braid, she checked the time. Ari had said that the class started at 1 pm and now it was just about noon. Getting here early was one thing she needed to do, she had no idea what she was in store for and the longer she had to set up it was more likely that she wouldn't be nervous.
