Foster smiled as Lia handed over the glass of water, taking a sip as she asked what he'd rather see first, her older or her newer art. He thought on it a moment taking another sip of water and watching her walk about. "Hmm, lets see now.." He followed her out of the kitchen, but not too close, wondering where she was wandering off to.
He was opening his mouth to answer her when the vibrating of a phone caught his attention. His phone was tucked in his back pocket, so it had to be Lia's. He was a bit annoyed, not wanting to be interrupted now, but when Lia decided not to answer he smiled. He decided to be a bit bolder if his powers were getting him this far. He walked over to her, answering her question. "How 'bout what your working on now. I love to see a true work in progress now and then."
Foster followed her into the little office turned studio by her stairs. Looking around at some of the artwork he got a little bit distracted, as he truely did love art. He unconciously managed to stick close to Lia, though.
***
Talbot was sitting in his car, stuck in rush hour traffic as he tried to get past the University and to Lia's house. He was grumbling at himself for taking this way, the short way, even though he knew it would be hell this time of day. As he drove at a slow crawl down the road, hissing at the car that was trying to weasle their way infront of him, he was fishing around his center consol for his cell phone.
Lia had mentioned her desire to hang around at her own home that night and watch movies and eat popcorn. Tale had told her he could bring food, for before the movie and popcorn - inviting himself to join her, and of course she had joked about needing the rest. They had been up most of the night the night before and had gotten surprisingly little sleep for having been in bed the whole time.... Talbot was smirking as he finally found and flipped open his cell phone.
He was hissing once more at the rude driver as he hit the speed dial numer he had saved for Lia. He tucked the phone between his ear and shoulder as he listened to it ring and fought traffic. He blinked when he heard Lia's voice, about to give a little naughty greeting when he suddenly realized it was Lia's voicemail speaking to him. Paused for a second, after hearing the shrill beep that let him know he could leave a message, and then flipped the phone closed, effectively ending the call. He would just have to show up and surprise her.
((ooc - I was bored today and doodled out Foster's tattoo design, lol. I'll have to find a time to scan it.... which may not be for a while...))

When Foster finally decided he wanted to see her newer work first, Lia led him into her studio. It was a bit cramped, and deffinately smelled of paint. The main piece she was working on was sitting in the of the room on an old wooden easel and its back was facing the door. The rest of her pieces that she was working on, lined the walls of the studio each on their own easel, this made it very easy for her to simply swap pieces from the main work station to the edge of the room. All of her supplies were gathered in a half-moon shape flanking either side of the central easel within easy reach.
While Foster walked around her studio, Lia had to fight the urge to pick up her brushes and tweak a few things on various pieces. It was something that happened to her every time she walked into this room and the only thing that kept her from doing so was the fact there was another person in the room. She didn't like working with other people around as a general rule, they were distracting.
Once Foster was done looking around the room, Lia asked him, "Do you want to go see the other's now? I've got some upstairs in the spare bedroom and then some more in the basement. She didn't leave room for Foster to answer her, she just grabbed his hand and pulled him gently out of the little studio and up the stairs.
As she was walking up the stairs, Lia thought she heard her front door close downstairs but considering she hadn't left it open, she couldn't think of why it would be making that noise. Instead of going to investigate what the noise really was, Lia ignored it and continued upstairs, all the while holding Foster's hand.
((ooc: now, you can either do Talbot one of two ways... Seeing them going upstairs hand in hand, or coming down hand in hand. Up to you! Hehehehe))

((ooc - haha! I think it'll be coming down... that'll give him more of a reason to be angry at Foster))
Foster was in art heaven and took a moment to wander the room and look at the art she had lining the walls, as well as the piece she had up on the easel at the center of the room. "These are some beauts.." He didn't really know if she had heard him, but as soon as he had finished making his rounds through the room Lia had asked if wanted to see the others. He was going to push his luck and suggest seeing the ones upstairs first, but Lia beat him to it and took his hand, guiding him up the stairs.
He was smiling, quite happy that Lia was warming up to him so quickly. She directed him into the spare bedroom where she stored more of her work. He tugged her along with him when he went around to look at the pieces this time, keeping his hand tangled with hers. Foster kept them close as he browsed and every so often he spoke about the pieces and what he liked about them. Most of the time he was simply mentioning how beautiful they were, and while it was a good way to win her attention, he also meant it.
***
Talbot had fought through the traffic and come out victorious. He inwardly cheered as we pulled into Lia's driveway behind her car. Since her car was there and the lights were on he felt it safe to assume she was home. He gathered up the italian food he had ordered at one of their favorite places and jogged up to her door, giving a knock. He had a key, but he figured it would a bit more surprise like if she were to answer the door and see him.
When Lia didn't come to the door after a few moments Tale tried the door. It swung open easily when turned the knob so he walked in, looking around and closing the door behind him. Lia didn't appear to be in her living room and tv was off. He walked into the kitchen to put the food down on the counter and noticed an art supply box that he didn't recognize as being one of Lia's. Talbot inspected it after setting the food down and saw the name 'Baudin' scrawled across the top in permanent marker. "A students...?"
Just as he had spoken he felt the presence of Lia and someone else. There was another Incubus in the house, and it wasn't Cian, as he knew his old lover's presense too well. He went to investigate Lia's studio and as he passed the stairs the feeling got stronger. Tale felt a wave a jealousy roll to the surface, but he didn't want to jump to conclusions too soon. He stepped back towards the kitchen and waited, now able to hear them, as they made their way down the stairs.
((ooc - I decided to let the mayhem start in the next round.. because between Foster and Tale, it'll be a lot to type ><;;. And I wanted to give Lia a chance to react to Foster a bit more.))

Lia listened happily to Foster as he wandered around her spare room. He really seemed to be enjoying himself. She was always happy when other people enjoyed her work as much as she did, even though she rarely showed it off. To date, only two people had seen all of the work in her house and they were her best friend Cian and her lover Tale. At the thought of Talbot, Lia thought for a moment she felt his presence in the house but then the feeling faded and she went back to following Foster around the room.
When Foster was finished looking at things she led him out of the room, back down the stairs and told him, "Okay, well the rest of my work is downstairs in the basement. Its a big basement and it has more than just my paintings down there. I've also got a few stone pieces and some of my pottery. I've got a shed set up in the backyard for both of those projects as they're much messier than the painting."
Only when she hit the bottom of the stairs, her hand still twined with Foster's, did Lia get that feeling of Talbot again and she couldn't help but look around curiously. When her eyes landed on him in the kitchen, Lia smiled and said innocently, "Hi Talbot, I didn't know you were here."

Foster was getting cocky and enjoying Lia's positive response. He was being much bolder about flirting and quite happy to have kept her hand twined with his for so long. He listened as she spoke about the rest of her art down the basement and perked a bit when she mentioned stone work and pottery. It seemed thwy would be browsing around the basement for a while. He was planning on making his move after they had browsed through all of Lia's art, but he wasn't in too much of a hurry.
As they got to the bottom of the stairs, Grant reared his head for the first time, warning Foster about the male in the kitchen just as he came into view. He tensed, readying himself for a fight. It seemed obvious that his man was Lia's lover, now that he had the man's scent he could smell it all over the house and Grant was going crazy, wanting out. Foster pushed Grant back, however, when he heard Lia call the man 'Talbot', struck with surprise and not sure if he wanted it to be just a coincidence. He noticed the look of fury in the man's eyes and let go of Lia's hand just before getting slammed back into a wall.
Talbot was furious, watching as this -kid- waltzed down the stairs holding Lia's hand, Incubus powers swirling around the two of them, and Lia had no idea what was going on. The little bastard was taking advantage of it, and Tale couldn't keep his anger in. He grabbed the kid by the front of his shirt and slammed him back against the wall, growling. "Are you stupid, boy?! Can you not sense a Sucubus when you see one?! And you should -know- the feel of a taken woman, you little bastard!"
Grant jumped towards the surface again, throwing Foster off, making him irrationally angry. "Rack off, mate! If she was so well taken she would have refused me the ride to her place!" Talbot narrowed his eyes as he sensed the animal in him, even more pissed off that he'd have to teach this -hybrid- a lesson. He jerked him forward before slamming right back against the wall again to stun the boy a bit. It also gave him a moment to pull a fist back. Foster was just shaking off being thrown against the wall again when he saw the fist, growling and moving to jerk the man off of him, but he was too late and was met with a solid punch to the jaw, and subsiquently, his lip ring.
Talbot let go of the boy when he yelped, giving him the chance to hunch over and nurse his jaw, and now bleeding lip. He listened to the boy growl and bitch for a moment before pulling him upright by his collar. "What do you have to say for yourself, boy!"
Foster narrowed his eyes and growled at Tale, jerking himself out of his grasp. He moved away a bit, almost starting to pace, trying to push Grant down and keep control. "What do yo think I 'ave to say, you drongo!"
((ooc - haha.. this was kind of fun ^^. Leaving Lia her opportunity for a hit or two before Foster caves, lol. I got to use more aussie words! yeay!))

Her head was spinning and for some reason, Lia felt the sudden urge to be sick. She had to run to the bathroom and let her stomach empty itself before her head would clear and once it did she was furious. She'd seen humans be sickened by the sudden loss of an Incubus' or Succubus' powers before and she realized that she was now a victim of those very same withdrawls. How could she have not known? How come she hadn't felt it?
Lia only took time enough to rinse out her mouth before storming back out to where Talbot had Foster pinned against the wall. She emerged just in time to see Foster slip out of Talbot's grasp and the poor stupid boy stepped closer to her in doing so. Before he realized she was standing behind him, Lia spun him around, grabbed his shoulders for leverage, and brought her knee to his groin fast and hard.
Once he was crumpled in a heap on the floor, Lia growled down at him, "That is the first warning a wayward Incubus gets. Mind your manners from now on and you won't have to be castrated."
Until she backed away from him and she felt her wingtip brush the wall, Lia hadn't realized that along with the emergence of her anger came her wings. The white dragon-like wings nearly dragged the floor when she folded them tightly against her back as she tried to control her temper. She didn't look to Eris for no reason after all, she too had a temper. Luckily for Foster, she was a bit better at controlling it than the goddess was.

Foster was still glaring at Talbot and had finally gotten Grant to settle when he was spun around and brought face to face with Lia, and she did not look happy. Once her hands hit his shoulders he knew what was about to happen, but he was only able to suck in a breath before her knee made contact. He froze for a short moment in pain before he crumbled to the ground, hissing out the air he had taken in on the way down. He curled in on himself, touching his forehead to the floor with his eyes squeezed shut, trying to think through the pain. He only marginally heard what Lia was saying, but the word 'castrated' struck a cord and he hissed again.
Talbot watched as Lia spun the boy around. He knew that look didn't mean good things for the boy and as Lia kneed him he flinched. While he agreed that the boy deserved it, it was still a painful moment to watch. Once the boy was sufficiently crumbled into a heap on the floor and threatened with much worse things Tale couldn't help but smirk. He tried to hide it behind his hand, but that only made it worse. Talbot had to turn away, chuckling silently to himself for a moment, his anger momentarily gone and the absurdity of the moment getting the best of him.
He calmed quickly, and when he did he was still quite angry with a very serious expression, but there was a calm about him now. The rage he had felt was gone and he could think properly about the situation now. He nudged the kid in the side with his knee, gaining a groan in response. "Hey, what's your name? I assume your last name would be Baudin, by the art box on the counter, so what's your first name?"
Foster was managing to fight through the pain by taking in deep breaths, and it was subsiding, though no where near as quickly as he would have liked. He growled at Talbot's question, rebelling momentarily, but thinking better of it. He was able to lift himself up off the floor a bit. "Foster. My name is Foster." He let out a few huffs of breath, which was supposed to be a chuckle. "Why? Does the name ring a bell? No? Maybe Amelia Baudin sounds more familiar?"
Talbot blinked, shocked to hear that name after so long. That had been the only woman he had seen on his only trip to Australia. He hadn't stayed in the country long... Once his train of thought caught up with him, he realized quite suddenly that Foster had a very prominent Australian accent.

After she had done her damage and backed off, Lia watched the interaction between her student and her lover. She was, to put it nicely, just a little confused by what they were talking about. Who was Amelia Baudin? The look on Talbot's face at the mention of that name worried Lia more than just a little bit and she could help but ask, "Tale love, who is Amelia Baudin?"
Then, as if the suggestion had been planted in her mind, Lia took a closer look at the two men in front of her. Upon close inspection she began to notice things she hadn't noticed before. Now that she was looking though she couldn't help but wonder how she had missed the similarities before.
With a lump in her throat, Lia asked Talbot, "Was she a lover of yours Talbot?" As she asked, her eyes never left Foster. He was slowly coming round and he was watching Talbot for the other man's reaction. The semi-smirk Foster had on his face was way too close to one she'd seen on Talbot's face many times before and it was just too much for her. She couldn't help but turn away from them both as she tried to think things over.
((ooc: meh, sorry its crappy but i honestly had no idea how to respond lol. please forgive me if i took too much liberty with the boys))

Foster was slowly gaining the ability to sit upright, and once he was able, he watched Talbot like a hawk. He was still a bit hunched over, but he was enjoying the look of shock on his "father's" face. Lia's questions weren't helping her lover gain his composure either. Tale hesitated in answering her first question, trying to think of a way to phrase it that wouldn't end up upsetting the woman, because he knew she was already putting it all together. When she asked if Amelia had been his lover he let out a breath and closed hs eyes. His voice was quiet. "Yes, she was my lover."
Foster was smirking a bit by the time Talbot answered, hoping the man felt bad about punching is own son. He noticed Lia out of the corner of his eye, and had to throw in one last jab to drive it home. He always got a bit vindictive when he got hurt, either emotionally or physically. "Yeah, your lover and my mother. Fancy that."
That earned him a growl from Talbot and he threw whatever was closest at the boy. He was inwardly glad when he didn't hear whatever it was break when it hit the ground, as he'd missed Foster. He hadn't been really trying to hit him with it, anyway, just shut him up. Tale watched Lia, her back to them both now, and he heart ached. He didn't want to lose his lover over this, because in truth, she had become more than simply a lover. "Lia..."
He walked up behind her, hesitating to touch her at first, but he settled for resting his hands on her shoulders, but still keeping some distance between their bodies. Tale wasn't sure how upset she was, and he didn't want to make it any worse. Foster growled at the display, furious that the man was still more concerned with his current woman than bothering to ask how the mother of his child was. His rage fueled him to stand pulling the well worn photograph out of his wallet, balling it up in his fist and throwing at the couple. It bounced off of Tale's shoulder, and he turned a bit to look at the boy. Foster snarled, "And just incase you were wondering, my mother's dead!"
He snatched his art box off of the counter and stormed out of the house, slamming the door and marching right down to the street. Once he got down to the corner his anger drained and he collapsed again, sitting their a moment while he tried to compose himself.
((ooc - Don't worry about it ^^ you probably know my boys just as well as I do by now, lol.

She refused to flinch at Talbot's gentle touch but she wasn't ready to talk to him yet. How could he not have known he had a son? How long had he been with Amelia before leaving her? Had he left when she'd hinted that she was pregnant or before they'd even known?
Her musings were interrupted by an outburst from Foster which she couldn't help but flinch away from. Then she heard his feet moving quickly through the house, his artbox scrape as it got pulled off the counter, and then the door hit the wall as it was flung open and Foster ran out the door. Great, now she felt like some awful, horrible, selfish idiot... That whole time Foster had been with her she'd never once asked about his family. Of course she knew she was under his influence and where they likely would have ended up if Talbot hadn't come over unannounced. That would have ended much worse she was sure...
Still, she felt like shit. Turning, she looked at Talbot who was still looking at her with concern and she couldn't help but glare at him a bit and growl, "I'm a big girl Tale and perfectly capable of taking care of myself so please, don't worry about me." When he didn't respond right away she snorted with disgust told him, "If you won't go check on your son, I will." Then she too ran from the house. As she ran down the driveway, she scanned the street and sidewalks for any sign of Foster and when she finally saw him she sighed with relief. He hadn't made it very far and was sitting on the curb at the bus-stop she'd told him about earlier.
She ran about halfway to him and only slowed when he looked up at her suspiciously. She didn't know what to say really, so when she reached him the said the first thing that came to mind, "I'm sorry about your mother Foster, and I'm sorry I got upset and hurt you. I've never been the one being seduced by our kind of powers unless I allowed it and it was embarrassing and frightening for me to know that you had done it so skillfully that I didn't notice. Its not really an excuse for how I reacted, but there are rules that govern the Incubi and Succubi and not forcing your powers on one of your own is at the top of the list. If you weren't who you are, I likely wouldn't regret doing what I did at all..." Her voice eventually trailed off and she just stood staring at him, taking in all the little details of his face and his body. She was still trying to come to terms with the fact that Talbot was a father and that she'd nearly bedded his son. He probably wouldn't ever forgive her, and she wasn't sure she could even forgive herself.
As she stood looking at Foster, Lia couldn't help but wonder if her relationship and closeness with Talbot is what blinded her to what Foster had done to her. Now that she had her wits about her, she could sense a similarity in the two mens' powers. Was that what had fooled her senses? The similarity? Oh she just wished he'd say something!

Talbot was releaved when Lia allowed his touch, but he was quick to turn his attention to Foster when he was hit in the shoulder with something light. The boy's shout made him flinch, turning his face away out of shame as he grabbed his stuff and took off. He sighed, closing his eyes and at an utter loss at what to do. He'd never been good with children, let alone teenagers, and he was always told by his friends he'd most likely be a horrible father, and he couldn't help but think they were right.
When Lia turned around he was still concerned for how she felt about all this, but by the look on her face he could see it wasn't welcomed. He knew she was able to take care of herself, but that didn't mean he was going to stand back and let her. He wanted to do whatever he could for her, he cared for her. He was still trying to figure out how to put it all in the right words when she told him she'd go check on Foster herself. Tale let go of her as she stormed out and when she was out the door he let out a little shout of frustration.
It was as he began pacing the kitchen that he noticed the balled up photograph on the ground. He picked it up, figuring this was what Foster had thrown at him and flattened it out on the counter. He sucked in a breath when he saw it was a picture of him and Amelia. He flipped it over and saw his name scrawled on the back in what looked like a woman's handwriting. Amelia's, no doubt. He looked at the picture again, and saw that aside from the wringles from it being balled up, the picture had been in perfect condition. It obviously had been well taken care of. It made his heart ache to think about Foster looking for his father, for him, and he punches the boy in the face before he lets him say anything. He took off running out of the house, looking around for Lia and Foster and spotting them at the end of the block.
***
Foster was hissing as he prodded at his lip ring, trying to assess the damage. He was going to have a hell of a time getting it out, as his lip was already starting to swell. He was trying to figure if he should pul it out himself or have someone else do it when he heard footsteps getting dangerously close. He whipped his head around, starting to snarl until he realized who it was. He dropped his gaze a bit and hunched his shoulders, not really looking forward to any more of the woman's wrath, but he looked up startled when she apologized. He listened, and as he did he hunched over more, feeling ashamed that he hadn't been able to tell Lia was a Succubus, or even knowing that there were really any rules to follow.
He looked up after a while of silence, his voice starting out as a mumble, but got a little stronger as he spoke. "I'm sorry... I never knew what I was until three years ago. That's when I started training to control it. The only thing I can do is keep it under control and I just learned how to release it a little at a time... I guess, well, I was using you as a bit of an experiment." He ducked his head at that, not wanting to get hit again. Grant was furious that he was acting like a wounded puppy, but Foster didn't care. "I didn't even know you were a Succubus. I swear I would have left you alone if I had. Probably more out of a fear of embarrassing myself, but still.."
He looked up and past Lia as he heard Talbot jogging up to them. He slowed to a walk, but instead of stopping back where Lia was, he walked right up to him and crouched down in front of him. Foster flinched, but relaxed as he noticed the photograph Tale was holding out to him. He snatched it quickly, looking the other way until Talbot started to speak. "I never knew. I was only in Australia for a few months, and only spent time with Amelia for just under a month, my last month there. If I had known she was pregnant, I wouldn't have left. I may have panicked for a bit, but I would have stayed, done my part."

She was having strange urges to go sit by Foster and put her arm around him. She knew for a fact that he wasn't using his powers on her right then so she just brushed the feeling off as that of a concerned teacher toward her student. She would -not- admit to having any maternal feelings of any sort. She wasn't the motherly type and she had been very careful about not winding up a mother in her thousands of years of life. Her own childhood wasn't a day in the park and she by no means wanted to subject anybody else to what she and her brother had to endure.
Instead of going to him though, Lia was about to suggest to Foster that he talk with their friend Cian when she heard footsteps running up the sidewalk behind her. Cian was relatively young for a Custos, not as young as Foster though, and he still had issues with his powers getting the better of him. If Foster talked to Cian then maybe he could get a better hand on things.
She didn't get the chance to talk to Foster anymore though because Talbot had arrived. Better late than never in Lia's mind. As her lover spoke to his son, Lia couldn't help but smile sadly. Both men were hurting and she hadn't helped at all... Slowly she started to back away and when neither of them seemed to realize she was leaving Lia just turned around and walked back to the house. They needed some time together and she would just be in the way if she stayed.
Once she reached the house, Lia walked straight on through and out to her backyard. She was aiming for her workshed out back and only stopped to scratch at one of the neighbor cats as it twined around her feet. "Goofy puss," she muttered as she gently nudge it away from her before continuing on her way. Once inside the shed Lia found the stone she'd been working on, grabbed her tools, and got to work.

Talbot and Foster sat at the curb, staring out over street, not quite sure what to talk about. They had already covered Amelia, how she had handled raising Foster alone, whether or not she knew all along who her son's real father was, how she died. They both had noticed Lia's absense not long after she wandered off, but Tale was sure he would get the chance to talk to her later.
Foster was the first to speak up. "You know, I'm not a kid anymore. It's not like I need a parent. You don't need to play dad if you don't want to." Talbot glared at the boy until he looked him in the eyes. "I don't give a damn if you don't need parents anymore. You still have one, and I'll try to be there. I can't promise I'll be any good. Everyone always told me I'd most likely be a lousy father"
The boy rolled his eyes. "Wow, that gives me so much confidence in you." Out of reflex, used to being smart-mouthed by Cian every so often, Tale smacked the boy on the back of the head. It was really just a tap, but it caused his lip to get jousled and Foster hissed before growling. "What's your problem?!"
Talbot rolled his eyes, then realized Foster had just done the same not five minutes before. He sighed, getting the feeling that this was going to be very odd, and possibly creepy at times. "What do you mean, what's my problem? Don't sass me boy, that's one of my pet peeves."
Foster snarled, then hissed in pain again. "Yeah, well getting called 'boy' is one of mine. Don't sass you? God, who says that anymore?" Talbot chuckled at him as he stood, hauling his "son" up with him. He waved off his protests and pushed him back towards Lia's house. "You're going to need to get that lip ring out before it gets infected." Foster grumbled walking backwards as he glared at his "father." "I can get it out myself. It's not the first time I got into a fight with this thing. Despite what you might think I can take care of myself."
With that, he turned and started stalking down the street, back in the direction of the college. Talbot called out, offering him a ride back, but Foster waved it off and kept going. Talbot sighed and let him go. He had written his cell phone number on the back of the photograph, so he had it if he ever wanted to talk again. He walked back into Lia's house, closing the door behind him and collapsing on her couch, head thrown back and eyes closed as he huffed.
***
The walk took longer than Foster had expected, but it allowed him to get rid of his frustration. As he kicked the apartment door shut behind him he glanced around to any sign of either of his two roommates. When all seemed fairly quiet he dropped his art box on the old beat up couch and went to look over his lip in the hall mirror. He prodded at it, sighing when he finally admitted to himself that this was going to hurt like a bitch when he pulled it out, and he probably wouln't be able to put it back in once it healed over.

After pouring all her attention and energy into the stone sitting before her, Lia was pleased to see that it was finally starting to resemble what she was aiming for in the long run. Only when she stood up to stretch did Lia look out the window and the sight of the dusky evening sky startled her. Had she been absorbed in her work that long? Shit. Talbot and Foster had likely both left already and she hadn't gotten a chance to clear things up with either one of them.
With a sigh, Lia put away her tools and locked up her shed again before heading back into her house. As soon as she entered, Lia let out a sigh of relief as she felt that Talbot was still there. Quickly she walked into the livingroom to see if he was watching TV and was a bit surprised to find him dead asleep on her couch.
With a soft smile, Lia crept the short distance to her lover then sat herself down on his lap gently and rested her head against his chest listening to his heart. This man, incubus or not, had done something to her. She had never been one to get attached to people and to find herself so attached to Talbot had been a very scary thing for her.
When he shifted beneath her, Lia kissed Talbot softly on the cheek and whispered in his ear, "What would you like for dinner handsome?" She just hoped that he would be in the mood to spend more time with her since he'd crashed on her couch.

Talbot wasn't sure when he had started to doze off, but as he began to come around he noticed there was a warm weight settled on him. He was curious as to what was perched on him, and as he shifted to a slightly more comfortable spot he felt the kiss on his cheek and heard his lover's voice. He smiled and cracked his eyes open, glad Lia hadn't decided to avoid him. He didn't think his heart could take that. "Hmm, dinner? Have I been alseep that long?"
His stomach answered for him, grumbling as a protest to being empty. Tale smiled, sliding his arms around her waist before suddenly remembering the food he had brought. "Oh, wait. I ordered food from that Italian place we like. I brought it with me. It should be out on the kitchen counter still."
Despite having possibly solved the problem of his empty stomach, he had yet to let go of Lia, content to keep her cuddled to his chest. He kissed her forehead, enjoying the comfortable silence. He never was a fan of cuddling before, but he could never get enough of it when he was with Lia.

Romi heard the door close and peered out of his room to see Foster staring into the hall mirror. He angled himself closer and whinced. He could see the swollen and bloodied lip. "What sort of trouble did you get yourself into this time?" he asked as he traveled down to the hall to Foster.
"Go sit down on the couch, I'll get the first aid kit. And don't complain. Yes, your Custos and vampire and so on but that doesn't mean you're immune to infection." Once he'd returned with the first aid kit, Romi angled Foster around so that he was in the light. "So, whose fist did you run into?" he asked as he cleaned up the area around Foster's lip ring. "I'm gonna let you get that out."

((ooc - haha! this is my 300th post ^^)
Foster glanced down the hall when he heard the older vampire's voice. He sighed, not really wanting to get into any sort of involved explaination of his day. "The usual, mate. Finding out the girl I'm warming up has a lover already, getting punched in the face by said lover, getting kneed in the family jewels by said girl..."
He shuffled over to the couch and let himself flop down onto it. He had meant to just pull the lip ring out, rinse the blood off and let it be, but it seemed Romi wouldn't let him get away with that. Instead he complied, but made every huff, sigh, and grumble he could to signal he wasn't happy with it. He snorted when his roommate asked who's fist he ran into. "Oh, you mean lover boy? Well, that turned out to be Talbot." He paused for a second, having told his roommates about looking for his father, and they'd seen the photograph he carried. He pulled it out and held it up for Romi. "As in, this Talbot."

Lia smiled nervously when Talbot finally opened his eyes and told her he'd gotten them food from their favorite Italian restaurant. She wanted to ask him just how things had gone with Foster but she also didn't really want to bring that up right now. The moment was sweet and she didn't want to ruin that.
After only a moment though, her own stomach started to rumble so she sighed and climbed off of Talbot's lap and wandered into the kitchen to see where the food was. It didn't take her long to spot it sitting right next to the stove but she was rather curious just how she'd missed it while passing through the house before... No matter, it was now sitting there taunting her.
It only took her a few moments to get the food warmed back up and then she called back to Talbot, "Food Tale, come on!" Then she preceeded to dish it up and set a plate on the counter for Talbot along with some silverware and a glass.
((ooc: just fyi, she isn't going to bring up the Foster thing at all unless Tale does so if he wants to talk to her about it at all he's gotta mention it))

Romi blinked at the photograph that looked up at Foster. "Ah, that Talbot. Well, that must have been awkward. I wonder if it's a good thing or a bad thing for the two of you to have the same taste in women." Romi packed the first aid kit away and set it on the floor by the couch.
"So, your father, who didn't know he was your father, caught you using the whole incubus Custosy powers on his girl? That can't have been good. Your shock was getting punched in the face. How did he respond to the fact that he was your father? Did you even tell him that the two of you share DNA?"

Talbot pouted as Lia removed herself from his lap, wanting to keep her there and just go back to sleep, but even his own stomach wouldn't have let that happen. Finally, when he heard Lia beckon him and he could smell the scent of the newly warmed italian food he groaned and rolled off of the couch and onto his feet. Once he was upright he made his way quickly into the kitchen.
He ignored his plate at first and slipped his arms aroung Lia's waist from behind, giving a quick little squeeze. He dropped a kiss on her shoulder before releasing her and going about getting his food onto his plate without making a mess. He was just glad they could be like they always were and it didn't have to be awkward because of what had happened earlier. He hoped they could talk about just as comfortably. Though, he held his tongue, not wanting to ruin the moment just yet.

Foster nodded, whole-heartedly agreeing that the moment between him and his father had turned into an awkward one. He watched as Romi put the first aid kit away, though he would probably need it later, he could do that clean up on his own. He also unscrewed the little ball baring that kept his lip ring from coming out, but left it for a moment, trying to think of the least painful way to get it out. "I'm not so sure it's a good thing. It certainly got me in trouble today.."
He had expected to get hit in some way the moment he had sensed another male in the house, but he hadn't expected it to be his own father. "Of course I told him I was his son. And I told him about my mom, who he remembered without an explanation. I'm sure he was shocked. It was his lover that comforted me later - verbally, mind you - while he got his wits about him."
