Basic History
Gregory has had what he considers a charmed life. As he likes to say, everything usually falls into place for him. When he was looking for a place to stay, so was his best friend Christian, who happened to know another vampire who almost had a place but needed help with the rent and that was how he found his apartment with the great studio lightening in his bedroom.
He grew up as the oldest of four children and he actually likes his siblings. When he came out of his family, after they’d caught him with another boy, the news went over well. Well, Gregory considered that his family took it well as his mother started setting up blind dates for him with the various young men she came into contact with and his father brushed up on all the things today’s youth were up to. The only one who didn’t take the news about Greg’s orientation well was his younger brother. They only speak at family events now.
Gregory loves art and anything that inspires him. If that inspiration should come from a color or a scent, a photograph or something that he sees out of the corner of his eye, a lover or a friend, he latches onto the inspiration until he drains it dry before looking for some more.
After high school, Gregory struck out on his own rather then attend college. He took some courses in art but found that more learning just wasn’t for him. He wandered Europe for a few years with only his camera and a backpack full of clothing. He did odd jobs along the way to earn money for food, lodging and more film.
Along the way, Gregory met plenty of inspiration.
He returned to English just after his 22nd birthday and found that apartment with his friends. He found a job at the same restaurant that Jonathan works at and he seems to be getting his life in order. He still spends plenty of time in front of his easel but he’s looking for more. He’s looking for that thing that will push his art from being admired to being desired. Naturally, he’s content until that thing finds him.
