Ethereal: When appearing in their ethereal forms, the Alati show their wings and many have visible markings, such has family crests, on any part of their body. In this form, they may also be able to whatever supernatural weapons they may have been gifted with.

Number of wings/arms/legs: 2 arms, 2 legs and 2 – 6 wings. The bones of the wings are typically hollow to compensate for their size and weight.
Scales? Hide? Feathers: The Custos have scaled wings, the Curantis have feathers and the members of the House of Animulus that live in Antarctica have wings covered in very fine fur.

How often can they get pregnant? The Alati have periods of fertility and infertility in order to balance out their population.
How long between pregnancies? The time between pregnancies can vary from a very short time (less than six months) to many, many years.
