Night on the Town (NJ)

Chase and Gershom both settled on the couch across from Troy. Chase shared Troy's sentiments about how long the day had seemed so far, and was dreading the second half of it. He leaned his head back and closed his eyes for a moment before Troy began to speak again. He blinked his eyes open and lifted his head to look at the man sitting across from him.

Gershom had simply been relaxing on the couch, though the day didn't feel quite so long to him, he still felt a bit exhausted. Troy's words caught his attention, but he didn't have time to process what they meant until he began to explain himself. Chase was just happy to have finally learned something personal and yet non-vampire related about Troy.

When Troy asked if they had any questions, Chase sat up a bit. "Yeah, I have one. How are you feeling? I mean, now that you've had blood for the first time."

Her arms laden with shopping bags, Ali had a hard time getting up the front stairs to her brother's rental house. Once she'd made it up the staires, Ace behind her with more bags, she couldn't help but laugh and say slightly out of breath, "Okay, if we ever do this much shopping again we are -so- bringing the bags up in trips!"

Once they were both on the front porch and breathing a little easier, Ali walked on in to the house as it was now her home too. As she entered, she stopped to take off her shoes and Ace ran into her back which nearly made Ali fall into the coat-tree. Laughing she told her friend, "Please don't kill me, I just wanna take off my shoes."

Only when she turned around did Ali realize that the livingroom was full of guys and only one of them lived there, her brother. She recognized Chase from the night before and that hectic morning but the other guy she didn't know at all. A little surprised, Ali mumbled an apology and explained, "We're just going to my room so we'll be out of your hair in a minute." Then she looked at Ace and gestured with her head toward her bedroom and hurried off in that direction quickly.

Once they were both inside and had dumped their bags on the ground, Ali flopped on her bed and sighed with relief. "If I'd know that Troy was going tohave visitors I would have said we should go to your place. Oh well, we'll just have to stay in here for a while." She looked over at her friend who was still standing surrounded by shopping bags and patted the bed next to her.
