Cayle considered the idea of drinking blood. He weighed the pros and cons. He studied Tee in the mirror and then he shrugged. "Does the blood at least taste good?" He asked while rubbing a second towel through his hair. "Cause it would be pretty boring if it didn't taste good, ya know what I mean."
Cayle peered at Tee from over his shoulder. He grinned at him. "So, after both versions of breakfast, will I be able to talk you out of that towel and show me how to access those nifty powers. And, ya know, a history lesson." Cayle stripped out of his towel, casually tossing it into a corner of the bathroom, and walked into his bedroom to find some clean clothing.
Once he was dressed in comfortably worn clothing, Cayle hunted down Tee. "So, how do we do this blood drinking thing?"

Tiegen rolled his eyes. Honestly, what had he been worried about? Of course Cayle wouldn't be frantic. He smiled and shook his head a bit in amusement. "It wouldn't have tasted good before, but it will now. Some people like certain types better than others."
He laughed softly at Cayle, more than willing to be talked out of his towel then, but he knew that they eventually had to get down to business. Tee followed Cayle into the bedroom after stripping off his own towel. He went about finding his own clothing and dressing quickly, answering his lover's questions as he went. "Well, the history lesson will be easy. Long, depending on just how much you want to know right now, but easy. The powers will be a bit harder. I could show you what I can do.. maybe that would trigger something..."
Tee was re-attaching the lenses of his glasses to the bar in the bridge of his nose when he heard the last question. He glanced up at Cayle. "Well, there are a few different ways. You can drink from someone, though that isn't a good idea for a new fledgling. Since you've never had blood before, its hard to gauge how much you'll need. You can also get it from a vampire friendly hospital or blood bank, or you can go to a bar."
Tiegen gave himself a little pat-down to make sure he had everything he had brought with him the night before. "We are going to use the third option. There are a number of vampire friendly bars, a few in the area, and they're most often the safest and least conspicuous. Which would you rather have first, food or blood?"

The answer to that question was simple. The shower had worn him out. "Food. Lord knows I need to eat a ton of it just to keep up with you." Cayle eyed Tee. "So, does the vampire thing have to do with your absolutely lovely body or is that just pure, hard work on your part?" Cayle grinned at him and wiggled his eyebrows at Tee. "I love your body, by the way. Its very nice. Very tasty."
Chuckling, Cayle walked out of the bedroom and down the short hallway to his kitchen. There he hunted up some ceral and milk. He made himself a bowl and ate while standing at the kitchen counter. When Tee entered he grinned and motioned to the breakfast foods he'd left out. "Help yourself and then you can show me a good time at a bar."

Tiegen was grinning wide, his pointed canines quite visible, as he wiggled his eyebrows right back at Cayle. "I'm glad I can help make sure you keep up a healthy appetite. And being a vampire certainly has some affect on my body. I'm 74 and haven't aged since I was 26. Though, my physique is mostly dependent on my physical activities." He paused long enough to give Cayle a nice once over, something he liked to do quite often, especially while he knew the man was watching. "And I love you're body as well. Can't get enough of it, in fact, so you better scoot before I try to pin you down for another round."
He followed Cayle out, shamelessly ogling his butt along the way. Tee rolled his eyes as he watched his lover pour himself a bowl of cereal. Really, he needed to make sure that man had normal food in his house, that way they could have a nice hot breakfast, or even simple home-cooked dinner that didn't consist mainly of pasta. He got himself a bowl of cereal and sat down to eat.
Tee pointed his spoon at Cayle. "One of these days we're going to have a hot cooked breakfast in this kitchen. Then we can have a nice hearty meal to help up keep our stamina up." He gave a rather lecherous little smirk. "And I don't how good of a time we'll have at the bar. It's rather early, so there won't be much going on, but I'm sure the two of us can find a way to make the most of it."

Cayle glanced around at the boxes stacked in his kitchen. Some were labeled Kitchen while others bore the titles of bedroom, bathroom or misc. "I have no clue where my pots and pans are. There's always the microwave," he waved a hand at said appliance.
Cayle wolfed down his ceral, only pausing long enough to pour himself a second bowl. "I'm glad that you like my body. It likes you as well. And, if you can find my pots and pans, and my cooking stuff, come to think of it, we can have a hot, cooked breakfast and a dinner that isn't pasta or take out."
"And I'm glad that it is still early for the bar thing. I'd rather avoid making a fool of myself in front of a large crowed." Cayle copied Tee and pointed his spoon at the man. "What was your first blood drinking like?"

Tiegen was eating his cereal at a more sedate pace, but he was still putting it away fairly fast. He rolled his eyes at the thought that someone could still have -all- of their cooking supplies still packed away in boxes. They may not have been the first things he unpacked when he moved into town, but they were still one of his top priorities. Tee vowed to find time to root through those boxes one of these days. He smirked across the table when Cayle mentioned that his body returned his affections.
Tee looked up to see a spoon being pointed at him and snickered. "Well, I was already involved in the vampire world, so I had already been to the bars and knew the routine. I was only really hesitant for the first sip, not knowing what it tasted like, but after that it was just like another night at the bar." He never had been a big alcohol drinker, after all.

(ooc: I'm forcing Cayle into life. He's been hiding for way to long. I'm also pressing the Fast-Forward button...)
Cayle stared at the bottle in front of him. He turned it this way and that. Sniffed it, poked it, prodded it and generally played with the generic bottle. It's contents, something that would shortly be becoming a staple in his life, was not so generic. It wasn't every day that a man walked right up to a barkeep and requested a bottle of O-postive, now was it? He glanced at the man sitting next to him. "And you're sure that I actually have to drink it? Can't I just stick an IV into my arm and read a book?"
When Tee said that it was a possibilty but not a pleasant one, Cayle sighed and lifted the bottle between two fingers. He sniffed at the opening, much to the amusement of the much more practiced patrons of the bar, one more time before tilting back both head and bottle for his first gulp of blood. After swallowing a mouthfull, Cayle leaned forward. "Not bad. An aquired tasted, I think, but not the worst thing on this earth. That is reserved for my mother's attempts at fruitcake. Door stops, the lot of them."
Cayle finished off the bottle in a matter of minutes, decided he didn't mind the taste of blood, and turned to face Tee. "So, what's next?" He imagined that he was taking this whole I've-been-changed-into-a-vampire thing just a little too calmly. Sooner or later, he expected to start the freaking out process or to just break down.
He eyed Tee. He assumed that the older vampire had more lessons planned for him, and the needed to figure out his special ability, but Cayle wondered if he could talk the man back out of his clothing and back into his bed. He'd planned a night of seduction to go along with dinner but that had been blown by the vampire with delusions of granduer. His dinner reservation might have been wasted but his bed had clean sheets and he'd just given the piano a good polish and wax.
Cayle grinned at Tee. "If you have nothing planned for the day, want to go back to my place and teach me some vampire tricks," he said with a wiggle of his eyebrows.

Tiegen was absolutely amused with Cayle's thorough examination of his bottle of blood. The rest of the patrons of the bar also found the fledgling's actions worth watching. At least it was a good crowd. They would be able to tell Cayle was a newbie, and they'd also know Tee wasn't his sire, but there wasn't anyone in the crowd that looked like they wanted to start something, He was just bringing his own bottle to his lips to finish it off when his amusing lover posed a question.
"Ah, well, you could. Theoretically, but I don't think it would be much fun." Tee finishing off his own bottle and motioned for another, turning back to Cayle in time to gauge his reaction to the first gulp of blood. He just smiled and shook his head as the man took it as easily as he'd taken everything else. It turned into a frown at the mention of fruitcakes. It seemed everyone either hated fruitcakes, or had never tasted a well-made one. Tiegen loved them... his mother had made really good ones around the winter season.
He chuckled as Cayle finished off his first bottle in less time than Tee had drank his own just moments ago. He pushed he second bottle the bartender had brought for him in front of Cayle. "Just one more, just in case. Then we can blow this popsicle stand and get down to figuring out what bloodline you're in."
The tone of Cayle's voice at the wiggle of eyebrows let Tee know just what he had in mind, and he didn't object at all. Though, he did want to figure out what bloodline Cayle was in as soon as they could. That way he could teach him how to access and use his abilities just in case that vampire came back, or in case he ran into another that wasn't so nice. Unfortunately they had only managed to rule out one bloodline, Keahi, as nothing was hot, burned, or melted when they woke up.
Tee motioned for another bottle for himself and started to drain it quickly. Maybe a round or two.. or three of vigorous activity would give them time for some trait of Cayle's bloodline to show.

Cayle picked up the second bottle and quickly finished it off. He motioned with the bottle. "So, what are the bloodlines, what can these bloodlines do, and how does one find out which bloodline one is in when one is turned by a crazed vampire?" Cayle leaned his elbows on the counter.
In truth, he was still trying to sort out which direction his life would now be going. Obviously, the traditional myths and fictions about vampires were false. And Tee was still standing next to him. That had to count for something, didn't it? Cayle stood up and grinned at Tee. "Come on, lets get out of here."

Tiegen blinked as Cayle finished off another bottle of blood just as quickly as he had the first, and before Tee had managed to finish his own second bottle. He remedied that by finishing off his bottle quickly. Tee paused before answering Cayle, trying to figure out how much he wanted to talk about out in public. While they were at what was considered a "Vampire bar," humans also went there, and not just the ones that knew there were vampires out there.
"Well, there are seven bloodlines, categorized by what unique abilities each allows as well as physical strength. The abilities are mostly elemental related. I, for example, can control water to a certain degree. The only way to know what line you are, since we don't know what line that vampire was, is to test it."
Tee smiled at Cayle and stood as he did, more than willing to get out of there. Either they went back to the apartment and had a little sweaty fun, or they tested for powers. Which ever they decided on, Tiegen was up for it.

(Ahem: I LIVE! Blame crappy weather and the cable company for the delay in getting myself hooked up with internet...)
Cayle walked alongside Tee. "So, by controlling water, one could make it go a certain direction, or stop flowing, or change temperature? Things like that. I'm sorry if I'm pestering you but I just have to know. It's a habit of mine."
Cayle mounted the stairs to his apartment, Tee following behind, and let the two of them into the apartment. "And what can the other bloodlines do? Didn't you say something about Fire earlier?" He dropped his keys onto the small table and turned to Tee. "I guess learning that Vampires like Dracula are false kinda makes me question what could be real, you know what I mean?"
He shoved a pile of newspapers off his rarely used couch and sat down. He motioned for Tee to the do the same and promptly leaned against the man the moment he sat down. "Tell me all that you know. I promise I'll make it worth your while."

Tiegen listened as Cayle continued asking him questions, nodding as he inquired about some of the things Tee might be able to control about water. He chuckled lightly as he was apologized to for the pestering. "Don't worry about any of that. You have every right to ask questions. And I can do a few things that are a bit more dangerous with water, but I've rarely used those gifts."
He followed closely behind Cayle up the stairs to the apartment, the smile that quirked his lips leaning towards amused. "Yes, there are those that can control fire as well. They are the Keahi line. That's the only line I'm sure you are not in, or you probably would have melted or lit something on fire."
Tee didn't hesitate in sitting on the couch, and welcomed being leaned against. He slipped his arms around Cayle and gave a deep knowing chuckle when he promised to make this worth his while. Cayle could make a -lot- of things worth his while, and Tiegen loved every minute of it. He started with the run down of the bloodlines, in order. "The bloodlines are the Moriba, Keahi, Asnee, Sadira, Aran, Anila, and Kasi. They all have abilities like telekinesis, fire, electricity, water, earth, wind, and psychic, respectively. Each person in a line has their own limitations on their powers, but as you grow older your control over those powers grows stronger. There are some of us that are well over 3,000 years old."

3,000 years old? How can anyone live for 3,000 years? Cayle blinked; he didn't think that living for 3,000 years and remain sane while doing that. He asked Tee as much.
Once that was out of the way, Cayle set to figuring out what sort of Vampire had snacked on him last night. They'd already ruled out the fire vampire. Cayle glanced around his apartment, wondering what he could use in order to determine what sort of vampire he was. Well, he had water in abundance.
Cayle headed into the kitchen, pulling Tee behind him. He turned on the kitchen tap and stared at it. He glanced over his shoulder at Tee. "So, how do I do this?" he asked.

Tiegen had to chuckle at Cayle's question of sanity for the older vampires. It was true, some of the ones that make it past 1,000 become a little... odd, but most are able to keep their wits about them. "Well, some can get knocked off their rocker a bit after so long, but most don't. I think its because of how the world in constantly changing around them, allowing to see an experience new things. I know I haven't been bored in my short years, and Aubrey still gets excited when learning about new things after over 3,000 years."
He raised a brow as he was tugged after his lover, wondering just where he was getting dragged off to. When they ended up in the kitchen, he began to get an idea and the sound of the tap being turned on confirmed it. So they were starting with water. That was fine with him. At least it was one of the powers he could Custosstrate.
Tee leaned against Cayle from behind, bracing his arms on the counter at their side of his lover. He smiled and kissed his shoulder before answering. "How about you just watch for a moment while I explain? You may understand the concept better if you see it." Tiegen rested his chin on Cayle's shoulder and turned his attention to the running water. "For me, and I assume for most others, the trick is to imagine what you want the water to do for you. Create that image in your mind and just focus on it."
As he spoke, the water falling from the tap began to shift until it flowed into the shapes of a couple dancing their way around the sink in the steps of some simple ballroom dance.

Cayle blinked in amusement. He knelt down till his eyes were level with the counter and watched as the water formed couple spun around his sink. "That is so incredably cool." He felt like a little kid again. Like a little kid that had just gotten the best toy in the world and couldn't wait to try it out. He just had to figure out how that toy worked first. He stood up, comfortable in the cage Tee's arms had formed around him. "I assume something like that, " he motioned to the dancing water, "takes some time and control to manage. So, lets try for something simple."
Once the water was flowing straight from the tap, Cayle focused on it. He imagined that he wanted the water to flow at an angle rather then up and down. Hands gripping the counter, Cayle narrowed his eyes and at grin started to form as the water tilted to the left. Of course, that broke his concentration and the water returned to a normal flow. He turned around and grinned at Tee. "Looks like I found my talent. Now, are you willing to be my teacher?"
Cayle peered up at Tee, his grin morphing into a smirk. "Who knows what you'll teach me. I'm a very....good student." He drapped his arms around Tee's neck. "Why don't we pick up what we were supposed to do last night? There will be no dinner, of course, but I'm sure that there is plenty else we could do. I'm sure this nifty water power deal makes showers...interesting."

Tiegen nodded when Cayle mentioned that his tiny dancers took time, control, and practice. It wasn't particularly hard once you understood how it worked, but to be able to do it for any length of time was a bit more challenging. He let the dancers make their way back toward the drain before they melted away - the tap running straight again.
Tee almost leaned into Cayle and rested his chin on the man's shoulder, but he caught himself and decided to stay where he was. He didn't want to cause Cayle any type of distraction, so he simply waited. He, too, began to grin when the water canted to the left, very pleased to know his lover was a Sadira. He was already planning a few interesting training sessions when he caught sight of Cayle's smirk and got sidetracked.
Once Cayle' arms were around his neck he gave into his earlier desire to get closer and leaned in, pinning the man against the counter. His smile was full of interest and amusement. Really, this man was insatiable, and he loved every minute of it. The training sessions Tee had been planning took a turn in a slightly different direction at Cayle's suggestion. "Oh, this can make showers -very- interesting... I think we can make that into a rather fun little training exercise."

Cayle led Tee down the hallway, shedding his clothing as he went. Yes, he'd already had one shower today but he was a grown man with a very attractive man in his house and, if he wanted to take a shower with said man, he could damn well do what he pleased. Besides, he was learning, wasn't he? And it was just that much easier to learn if he was interested in the format in which the lessons were taught.
Later Cayle lay sprawled on his bed, Tee next to him. He turned his head and looked at his lover, "This is going to be a very interesting, isn't it?" He was sure there would be some major adjustments to his life but, somehow, having Tee nearby eased any fears he might have. Tee had gone through this and he seemed to be willing to stick around.
Cayle tucked himself against Tee's side. He reached down and yanked up the blankets. "What else do I have to know? How many really old vampires are out there." Then he blinked. If vampire's existed...did anything else. "Is there anything else not human out there?" he asked.

The shower had most definitely been an interesting experience. It wasn't unlike their usual shared showers in many ways, but the added fun of playing with the water was great. He was relaxed and content as he was sprawled on the bed next to Cayle. Tiegen turned towards the man and smiled, chuckling softly, more akin to short bursts of air being exhaled. "It most certainly will be."
Tee's arms slid around Cayle as the man laid up against him, humming lightly when the covers were pulled up to settle over them. "There are quite a few, depending on your definition of "really old." I don't even think the Council members remember how old they are. Oh, that's one thing we should do. We should go to the next gathering, you can meet others, and I'll introduce you to Ariana and Cole."
He wiggled himself a little closer to Cayle, hiking a leg up over the man's hip. "There is a whole world of Dark Ones that live among humans. We blend in, for the most part, and those that don't usually don't interact with humans much. There are Were-Wolves, Were-Leopards... hell, 'were- any type of predator you can think of.' There are also Angels and Custoss, various types of magic users, plus those that are a combination of any of the above. There are those that hunt us, too."

Cayle snuggled against Tee, the day starting to catch up with him. "Ariana and Cole?" he asked while sleep started to drag at him. Of course, Tee's comment about all sorts of Dark Ones wandering around snapped him wide awake. "Angels? Custoss? Were-anythings?" He then grinned and snickered. "Oh, this is going to be so much fun."
He tilted his head up and pressed a kiss to Tee's neck ."And you're here, alongside me. You haven't run away from the responsiblity of a new vampire. What, do you suppose, will happen to the guy who did this to me? Something will happen to him, right?" he clutched at Tee, unwilling to admit, outloud, that some part of him was scared of that man. That he'd be that willing to do something like this and then walk away without a care in the world. "Do you think he'll come back?"
